You guys need to live in Singapore. The top tax rate here, and I mean top, is 20%. We are payed gross every month ie we are not taxed monthly at all. We do our tax returns at the end of the calender year, you are given a bill a couple of months later, you can then pay it off qaurterly and interest free. If you are not a citizen, like me, and you travel out of the country for more than 90 days a year then you only pay 10% tax.

Alot of cool information here.
I don't mind paying taxes, I just wish I had more control over what it's being used for. IE: which roads get paved, which schools get funding, ect.

But even with all the loopholes, rich people still pay a higher percentage of their money than poorer people. I am not complaining about it, but its crazy to think that rich people dont have to pay as much tax because they know something you dont. In the US there used to be a 98% tax braket. This is obviously rediculous and was intended to screw the rich. Thats what can happen when a Democratic congress and Democratic president are in office at the same time. This was back in the 20's, but it showed the rich that the poor have no problem screwing them. You cant blame the rich for defending themselves either. It all works out in the end. If your poor you dont pay much, and even with the loopholes the wealthy still pay a lot.

I saw the trailer to that movie. I did a little searching around and found this.
Seventh Circuit case, the Court observed:
Some people believe with great fervor preposterous things that just happen to coincide with their self-interest. 'Tax protesters' have convinced themselves that wages are not income, that only gold is money, that the Sixteenth Amendment is unconstitutional, and so on. These beliefs all lead — so tax protesters think — to the elimination of their obligation to pay taxes."
lmost every United States Court of Appeals has made a blanket statement repudiating tax protester arguments. For example, see United States v. Buckner[3]:
"For the record, we note that the following beliefs, which are stock arguments of the tax protester movement, have not been, nor ever will be, considered 'objectively reasonable' in this circuit:
"(1) the belief that the Sixteenth Amendment to the Constitution was improperly ratified and therefore never came into being;
"(2) the belief that the Sixteenth Amendment is unconstitutional generally;
"(3) the belief that the income tax violates the Takings Clause of the Fifth Amendment;
"(4) the belief that the tax laws are unconstitutional;
"(5) the belief that wages are not income and therefore are not subject to federal income tax laws;
"(6) the belief that filing a tax return violates the privilege against self-incrimination; and
"(7) the belief that Federal Reserve Notes do not constitute cash or income."
Despite this and other similar rulings, people continue to read and believe these sources.

If I where living in the usa the first thing I would be pissed about is several tremendously expensive projects like this.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FA-22_Raptor
By the time all 183 jets have been purchased, around $28 billion will have been spent on research and development, with an additional $34 billion spent on actually procuring the aircraft.
Here in sweden the spending Im most pissed over is on imigrants, unemployment and social security. Seems like alot of people are becoming to lazy to work here. Its obvious alot of money is beeing wasted on stupid things since we have among the highest taxes in the world but still have a struggling healthcare system right now and rising crime.

Right johan and the list goes on and on, we could literally sit here all day and speak about foolish things that the goverment does with our tax dollars. I'm sure you follow world news johan and see also what is going on here with all this imigration reform and social security and healthcare as well, it's just one big fvckjob for millions of american people that are born here and can't find work and old people who have no healthcare, we are at war, fuel prices are through the roof, all the fighting in the middle east. Things are just so crazy right now and they don't seem to be getting better. Goverments are just legit criminals and no one can stop them!

I mean the russians are making aircrafts that are just about as good as american jets and I doubt they put 50+ billion into r&d and production.
The big question in my mind is if the money would have done more good distributed on several different "smaller" defense projects.
