What Kind of Music Gives You That Extra Energy???

Kind of a weird question, but I respond very well to music when I workout. For example, I had just finished my Triceps and still had to do forearms but I was really tired and wanted to go home. A song I had only heard once and really liked (Nickelback: Far Away) came on and gave me that little extra motivation to continue. It just seems certain songs remind me of certain things (like for this one, my girlfriend) and gives me the extra bit to dish out...

"Each day, you wake up and get out of bed knowing that there is shit waiting for you. Each day is a struggle, a battle and you must prepare for these battles, these wars. You have to be prepared. That is where the spirit of MANOWAR comes in. It is for everybody, both men and women, who have the fighting spirit. You either fight to win or your throw up your hands and admit that you are ****ed" - Joey DeMaio.

Did you know it's not ok to post violent videos on this discussion board? Somebody was beaten so severely that they died in the video you posted.

i have seen every single fight in its entirety from that video, and i can guarantee you no one has ever died in a Pride fighting match. dont spread rumors when you are completely misinformed. as far as the violence goes, sorry, had no idea MMA wasnt allowed even though it is a sport with its own forum on this board!

the dedge fight was an unlicensed fight in the ukraine, it had nothing to do with organized mma organizations like pride. the video i posted only contained pride highlight footage.

I like some rap, but not much. Mostly 80's rap. Nickelback is pretty good for working out. Areosmith (their rock, not ballads), alot of 80's rock like Billy Idol. Aswell as oldies like Elvis, The Beetles, ect.

Disturbed - Down With The Sickness

I like the violent tone. It seems to drive and inspire heavy lifting. I like the lyrics too, perhaps something to do with lifting as a way of becoming a beast? I don't know about the usage of demon though...check out a sample of the lyrics:

It seems what's left of my human side
Is slowly changing ... in me

    Looking at my own reflection
    When suddenly it changes
    Violently it changes
Oh no, There is no turning back now
You've woken up the demon ... in me!"

I like to listen to rammstein.

But usualy I dont care that much about the music aslong as there is some music. At the gym I train at now its usualy just some radio channel or dance floor music.
