TV in the gym?
Why the fk is there a tv in the gym... it doesnt get satelite, cable, mtv or anything cool, just run of the mill terrestrial channels which in the uk is a whopping choice of 5, if I wanted to watch corrie or eastenders Id've stayed at home, if I gave a flying fk about Jeremy Kyles sad loser deadbeat guests Id be in the audience, who wants to hear Richard and Judy rattle while there squeezing out the last rep, even the staff take the piss out of it, but still it remains.

tv in a home gym ok you get to put whatever dvd you want on... mtv in a public gym ok a bit of music and scantily clad ladies dancing helps keep the tempeature up... but daytime tv and soaps while youre trying to work out, cmon it drives me nuts specialy when theres people taking up benches watching the fking thing instead of training

They have TV's in the cardio area at my gym, TV's are always on sports networks... Talk about boring as hell when they got GOLF on!
The gym in my station has a TV with cable, I usually have it on a music video channel. At least there I can choose the channel!

I've gotta have a tv on when I'm doing cardio, I concentrate more on keeping up with the sub titles, and listening to my music than I do on the actually workout part...makes sure that I'm not quiting early, because i HATE cardio.

one day we went to the gym in the mid day and the tv station was on a soap opera
so between out sets my buddy and I would try and picture how the scene would have turned out if a MAN had written the script
two girls exchanging some words... one of them is crying... then they get int oa cat fight... tip each others clothes off... kiss... you know the rest
ok so we're horny
big deal

I always watch Conan O'Brien at the gym. I love being able to do cardio while watching it.
If your gym doesn't have good channels, I'd try switching gyms...
