Then you should rephrase that to "I don't know any Black people." If you don't, you should get out more. Travel in different circles. My friends pretty much cover the entire rainbow. That is one of the things I like about NYC. It would weird me out if everyone I came into contact with were just like me.

In my neighborhood, there are no black people, and in my college, if your not black, the black people dont associate with you. so your my only E-Black Friend

Before my China trip i was going everyday for 15 minutes. I am going back now, but got burned cuz I went in the 10 minute bed. I'm German/Swede, so I got roasted. If you go for the first time depending on skin color and geneology, I would recommend only 8 minutes first and If you're no where near pink bump it up 2-4 minutes. The bronzer stuff works pretty good. And if you have tattoos, put on SPF50 first, just coving the tattoo, then apply the bronzer.

I grew up in the same environment as you. Yet I managed to meet people of all colors and different economic back grounds. Not all of my friends are rich white Catholics. Do you only associate with people you grew up with?

Same for mine. I never understood why people would want to live in an all *whatever* neighborhood. All Black, White, Latin, Chinese or gay. That is not the real world. The real world is diverse so I want to be in a diverse environment. I guess that is just me.

Not necessarily people I grew up with, but with generally the same background yes. I don't think you really understand that the black people on campus here completely and utterly isolate themselves from the white people. I wouldnt want a 'gangster' black friend anyways, and 99.95% of them are that here.

Usually they're hanging on some random street corner not taking college courses. How do you know they're gangsters when you already said you don't know any Black people? Have you talked to them or are you just assuming? Is it Blacks isolating themselves from White people? Usually it's the other way around. I.E. It is hard evidence that most do not succeed past freshman year, every year there is less and less black people in every class. But the freshman class has a very large % of black kids

I don't think this is a 'black phenomenon', but rather a 'dumb kids today' phenomenon.

I'm a white Catholic gay Boston Mick, and I think it's a riot when I see some of these "Irish" kids in their scally caps, boots and Guinness T-shirts, listening to the Dropkick Murphys and acting like they're old-time longshoremen or irish mafia when they're really just a bunch of privledged suburban posers who drive into the city to get drunk and get their arses kicked by the doorman at one of the touristy "irish" bars in Quincy Market.

The black kids I see doing the 'gangsta' thing on the bus are usually going to one of the posh magnet schools and come from pretty middle-class backgrounds. They'd probably shit their pants if they met a REAL gangsta.

to be honest with you carlos, I'm brown as ppl can see and i dont tan i have NO brown friends or black friends that would ever consider tanning its .. some ppl may but it's no the norm. for darker skinned ppl tan outside of bodybuilding.

You are not brown. I am brown. It is not outside of the norm. The rest of my family tans. I have friends who tan and none of my family and friends are interested in bodybuilding.
