what i dont understand is, if they wanted the ps3 soooo bad why not cough up the $100 to preorder it at ebgames or wherever?? i didnt pre-order it because i have my 360 and the $600 price tag seemed a lil high but quite frankly i regret not pre ordering a couple.. i could sell 1 or 2 for a g+ and keep 1 for myself. oh well i just wait til all the bugs get soretd out in the system..

yeh how are u going to stop somone walking right down the middle as soon as the door opens. no one can stop u and i dont think the store can make gates ect. to ensure there is a line. i cant wait to see a bunch of people walk straight past them 1 hr before it starts and not move

The $100 preorder does not guarantee that you'll get one when they get stock. You could get yours in January when there is enough stock available. If I don't get one now at full price I have to wait till after Christmas. At least I can use my employee discount after Christmas.

The PS3 goes on sale Friday the 17th. This morning on the way in I saw 15 people in line at the Sony store. They're camping on the street for 4 days!!!

just got back from best buy and there was actually a group of people camped to the side of the store entrance. . there were 2 cop cars there with them, but they had no tv's and gaming consoles like these pics show. i actually heard someone say "the tv is on the way." lmao some people are nutss!!

They went on sale last week here in Tokyo. The first guy had his picture taken with the Sony president and then they tried to interview him. Guess what? He didn't speak any Japanese or English, because he was Chinese. Turns out, the first 10 customers were all Chinese (suspected Triad members). Can you say express package to Shanghai, reverse engineering, and rip off PS3's?

Well, around here where I live, I jsut don't see anyone waiting in line to get one at our local best buy...I could be wrong though...worth a shot.

I just got into work and the Sony line turns the corner and goes from Madison avenue all the way to 6th avenue. If you don't know, a New York City avenue equals about 3 city blocks. As I walked by looking at one guy says "wow, he is big" I said back "you people don't have jobs?" I'm thinking about going down stairs and taping a "GET A LIFE!" sign to the glass.

Call Best Buy and ask how are they handling PS3 sales. Maybe their doing a waiting list or giving out ticket numbers. That could be why there is no line.
