T9 predictive text...
Are you familiar with the T9 feature on your cellphone? I believe it's a mode wherein it predicts the word that you want in sending text messages. Do you have any idea on how to use this?

You just hit each key once for each letter. For instance to spell "hello" you would normally type "44 33 555 555 666" but with T9 you would only type "43556".

i work for cell phone company and T9 is just about the only way you should be texting. Most people dont use T9 because they don't understand how to use it but once you do you will never go back. Also you can add your own "special" words to T9.

to use it just press the letter once if the word is wrong from the one you want to use hit 0 to change the word. if it isnt part of the list by typing it in ABC then changing it back to t9 to save that word. how hard is that really?

I guess i will have to give it another try then, i just get frustrated.

T9 is the shit before it would take me like a minute in a half to type a full message, but with t9 like 20 seconds. Some phone will pick up slang words or curse words and program them into the phone.

man that thing sucks!!! but if u can actually use it, u can txt alot quicker, but i got some nasty txting skills as it is, so its all good.
i remember this past summer, my friend was so excited he figured out how to actually use T9 he called me up at like 3am to brag haha

I dont understand how people say it sucks. Its so much easier, u just press the button once and go on to the next letter. Its the best invention they could have made for text messaging.

i never really tried to use it, just turned it off as it really pissed me off.

T9 is great as long as you can spell ..... although a lot of people on this site would have difficulty. The art of using it is to not look at the screen as you type and just look at the end word and change if necessary!

I really dont think they could have made it any better.

I dont know how some of you use the regular way still..that takes forever. I can write like 4 sentences in like 20 seconds rather than 20 minutes the normal way..

My cell has "fast tap" kinda like a black berry, so I never have to type numbers, I always just hit the letters.
texting pisses me off though. the only use I've found for it is to text during class so you don't disturb others. besides that, it is just too much work to talk to someone.

i send an average of 3000 texts a month and t9 or predictive is the only way to text, hated it at first but cant even imagine going back now, the new sony ericsson k800i even gives you the option of adding the most used next word, hard to explain but its awesome

T9 is a pain at first but gets really natural.. i just got a phone with a query keypad and that has been more of a pain to get used too.. still keep screwing up text messages... at least though it doesn predict the wrong word and change the meaning of my texts

Whenever a wrong word appear you just have to hit the "0" button it will then give you the alternative words that you can choose.
