Apocalypto
IMO probably one of the best movies this year. It's is right up there with Brave Heart. Some nasty scenes made at least 5 couples get up and leave. I love crap like that though, what babies. Anyone see this movie and like it as much as I did?

I am stoked to see apocolypto, hopefully Mel Gibson did as well on this one as he did on Braveheart.

Plan to see Apocalypto tonight. Saw Blood Diamond last night ... excellent movie. Leonardo DiCaprio is turning out to be a pretty decent actor.
About time they started putting out decent movies back-to-back.
Another one coming up in January looks like a good one: 'Pathfinder'

It looks good. I wasn't sure if I was going to see if, due to the Mel Gibson comments, but maybe I'll take my fiance to it.

Apocalypto was a great movie…. IMHO I though it truly captured the continuing cycle of human savagery from civilization to another…the ending was great with the Spanish Conquistadores and the Christian Priest.

braveheart sucked hard so if it's 'up there' with it i'll avoid it. i am intrigued though, because i'm fascinated with mayan culture.

If you think this movie "looks stupid" after watching a 30 second preview and Braveheart "sucked hard" than I am happy that I dont know you personally. What a bunch of losers.

it's not technically a revenge flick either, it's a story about a struggle for "freedom" although in the true socia context it was just one set of nobles from a norman/germanic/celtic background fighting over territory in the north of britain. alot of the ethnic divisions from today weren't present at that particular time, esp. since the big players like wallace, bruce, edward, had nothng to do with celtic or pictish traditions.
if you want a good revenge story read the count of monte cristo. the newer movie adaptation starring jim "jesus" caviezel is garbage, but i heard the bbc made a great miniseries back in the day. instead of telling a simple, black and white tale of wrong and vengeance, it brings in the social realities.

So going by your lousy logic, I guess "The Godfather" and "Saving Private Ryan" sucked too because they didnt truely represent the actual weather during that timeperiod, and oh yeah, the grass was longer in real life too.
