    Fantasy?
If you don't think Scarface was reality based, we have a fundamental difference of perspective. And of course everyone is entitled to an opinion.

    more great movies

Nice quotes from the movie magic, I just watched it again a few nights ago. Seems like alot of people here like The Godfather and/or The Shawshank Redemption. Two very good movies, here or some more to consider.

Alot of people here into gangster/mob movies might wanna check out "Once Upon a Time in America" Very good movie made in the mid-80s w/ Robert DeNiro and James Woods.

Also for those of you that like the Shawshank Redemption I would definately recommend Papillion. Maybe one of Steve Mcqueen's best performances, as well as Dustin Hoffman's.

'Goodfellas' was great, but second tier compared to 'Scarface' and 'The Godfather'.

This movie is on par with both of them, and just came out to day.

It is simply superb...'The Good Shepard'.

2nd teir compared to Scarface... Goodfellas is the best mob movie ever hands down...IMO best movie period. I can see people saying the Godfather was better...but I can only agree with Godfather II not I. And as far as Godfather III...lets not even go there. definetly looking forward to seeing the Good Shepard

i just saw The Good Shepard and thought it was terrible. 3 hours and they barely tied the plots together.

I don't think it will be, mostly because of the demographic. That type of gore is hard for a lot of people to stomach. I'm not saying it won't be good, if you like that type of movie, but hits need to have mass appeal and Hostel is too segmented.

Speaking of segmented have you heard of 'Grindhouse', the latest from Tarantino?

Goodfellas is not just a gangster fantasy. The movie is based on a true story about Henry Hill. Search the net or download a documentary called the real goodfellas.

Goodfellas is the only movie you need to own.

Saving P. R. is also great but I cant watch the very end because I get so choked up when Ryan of the present asks his wife if he was a good man. It just sums up so much for me when I think about my service and I wasnt even in any conflict

Resviour dogs was awesome too, along with pulp fiction.

    BUT man goodfellas, fantastic.
