Whats a pound of muscle worth???

By the time you add up supplements, gear, gym memberships, food, and time what do you think a pound of muscle cost you to gain??? and how much would you pay per pound to magically be given muscle??? Sorry I just worked a 12 hour day and Im tired as hell just thinking of stupid things!!!

yes we had a similar discussion at work. I was talking with some guys about gene doping and myostatin experiments ect and we all agreed that if it became possible to just purchase muscle growth it would be awful. All us guys who put in the work would be no different to anyone else. There would be loads of ripped lazy ppl.

    It's not a hobby, it's a lifestyle.

The money I spend on it, I'd probably blow on other crap. IE: alcohol, ect.

its hard to say man. honestly, a pound of muscle added to my biceps is more important to me than a pound of muscle added to my chest...

this may sound weird, but i actually would rather work for my gains than simply pay money for them. some people would argue that taking steroids is essentially buying muscle, but i say thats bullsh_t.

Depends on how far advanced you are, I think it's harder at a point to maintain the muscle than to gain muscle, you can only get so big.

all very good points, I love working out and going to the gym and it is a lifestyle. I dont want muscle to be forsale either, Id rather earn it, I guess where I was actually going with this post was what do you think it cost you to put on a pound of muscle on average, between supps gear time, food, memberships.

50ml test prop - less than 50 but lets say $50.
    50ml nandrolone - again lets say $50.
    $120. a week on food lets say 14 weeks = $1,680.
    Random little supps = $100.
    Protein Powder = 30lbs for $125. approx
    Bloodwork twice = $200 approx
    = $2,205.

    lbs gained = 20

    $2,205 / 20 = $110. per lb gained.

Dont forget your PCT which is more than the gear itself and your gym membership if you pay one. your time is worth something, although most of us love it and its what we choose to do with our time.

I spend the money to live a healthy lifestyle.. Bodybuilding just fortunently goes right along with it, although I see many BB'ers and others do things in a very unhealthy manner. Seems none really think about the consiquences 10-20yrs down the road.. shame

who cares, if your into this, its not about the money, its about how you feel about yourself. I do this because I enjoy the lifestyle, everything about it, the eating (my favorite part) the training and the resting! I would never change this for the world.
