who knows what it means? I had a discussion about it at dinner tonight and I have a bet going on how many people knows what it stands for.....especially those from Louisiana. you guys on the board better help me out!!!!

south louisiana here......born and rasied here and speak cajun french. but never heard the saying... give me the way it was used, you may not have the spelling the way i can sound it out.......cant read french but converse in it daily....

ru ga ruP: is what we call da boogie man here in south louisiana. if a child is being bad u tell them the ru ga ru is coming. if a person is felt to be evil then he or she is considered a ru ga ru. basically any thing or anyone that is evil or considered the RU GA RU

OMG!!! Before I saw the answer I was going to say Ru Ga Ru ,phonetically it sounds or rhymes like Un Loup Garou in French but no one uses the term Ru Ga Ru. That is strange.....you drunkards have F*'up the language.
