We used to call it getting rodded off the range.

I heard so many horror stories about this and then had it done. Its almost commical how small the Q-tip is. Honestly one a scale of 1-10 10 being the most painful id say it was a 2.

Plus you cant beat the frame of mind your in once you get it done and everything comes back neg. Its like a ton off your shoulders.

yah ... but it's just awkward not painful. I had a female doctor and I was still wearing my apadravya when i went to get tested...lol funny reaction for both of us :P

OH and a correction..once ur done it's not over. Get tested again in 6 months to a year. Then you're good. HIV takes a while to show up.

I just got a STD test done 2 weeks ago and the doctor said if there is no pain when you urinate or any discharge then a simple blood test is all that is needed they check for HIV and sphyllis with the blood test.

it was one of the most painful experiences of my life! it hurt for a week, and now I can feel it again just thinking about it. perhaps it was because my doctor was a male and he SHOVED it in - no foreplay or anything

I'm thinking that most here that say that it's no big deal either have a high pain threshold and/or they did not have an active infection at the time they were tested.
All I know is I had a full blown case of "clap"

and when the doc rammed that rod up my pisser, it is not something I want to ever experience again...after that experience, I never tapped a dirty leg without protection ever again.

i had something similar, but it was just a bacterial infection from playing football and being sweaty - same symptoms of chlamydia, the drips, the itching... DAMN it hurt so bad, and that stick he put in was lik 4-5in long

No I didn't have any infection when they tested me so I can see why it would be alot more painful after reading your experience.

I went to my doctors and asked for one, and he said....Well do you see anything strange down there or feel anything strange...I said no, and he said well you don't have anything then. He then gave me a blood test for HIV, i passed OF COURSE...lol.

No swab for me though.

Your doctor is a moron. There are plenty of people who are just carriers for STDs and never get a symptom
