Anyone remember American Gladiators?

I was just watching American Gladiators on TNN today.Boy those Gladiators are big boys,although in my youth I thought they were alot bigger & thought they were on AAS.But now that I think of it they couldn't have been since that would've been an unfair advantage against the competitors

Hahaha..bro I have been watching that show on TNN for the past few months now. I am reliving my youth. I used to love that show. And as for the AS no...they are all natural.

wouldn't want that unfairadvantage you speak of.

I have been waiting for the best competor ever to compete in the American Gladiators. Wesley "2 Scoops" Barry this guy made the gladiators look like a bunch of school girls. How many records this guy broke is beyond me but he went on to win not only the American Gladiators but International Gladiators as well.

Exactly American Gladiators isn't like WWE it needs to be an equal playing field,having 2 average built guys going head to head with juicers wouldn't be fair.Although looking at Tower,Thunder,Gemini and Sabre it's truly hard to tell.Because those 4 were the biggest ones,especially Tower

Guys...you have GOT to be kidding!! There is no way in HELL that Billy "Thunder" Smith was natural!!! He was one of the biggest juice heads around!! He was also one of the strogest bodybuilders around. He is all natural now, still in very good shape and very strong, but about 30-40lbs lighter than when he was a Gladiator and competitive BBer. Show, no flame bro, but I truly think you are way to eager to believe that the human body can get that large and lean naturally. The best natural bodybuilders in the world, who have perfect genetics for bodybuilding and incrediable diets, rarely get over 200lb in contest shape...and these guys are 5'10"- 6"!! AAS are rampant in many sports and you would never believe it...tennis, football, baseball, cycling, track and feild, and the Gladiators physiques put alot of those athletes to shame. I can garauntee that a lot of the contestants were juiced as well....you think Rico Constantino was/is natural? C'mon. The reality is this...many people who you think are natural, are not! Even the so called naturals are not life time naturals. I'm not trying to burst your bubble but you obviously refuse to believe how wide spread use really is.

AG was the shit. A while after a show came out called "Battle Dome" where they had the biggest fucking guys whooping the shit out of the smallest contestants they could find. I liked the unfair advantage.

As far as AG was concerned: the best part was at the end of the gauntlet where the contestant had to pick the door without the gladiator behind it. Funny to watch the guy lean into it and when nobody was behind the door, they would fall on their ass. Oh well, great show.

I see your point Pete,and like I said in my previous post,that even though it would be unfair if the Gladiators were on AAS I really doubt that most of them didn't use AAS.And it is unfair.But what about some of the smaller Gladiator men like Laser because he was/is nowhere near as big as someone like Thunder.Sabre or Tower.And about Rico Constantino's appearance on AG he seems a lot bigger now then he was then so IMO I say that Rico didn't use then but uses now.

just compare them to real athletes like professional football players and olympians. they are natural, for the most part (at least they havent got caught). they are much smaller. so i would say AG's used juice.

I tried out for that show when i was 19 in Dallas. Made the finals and thought I was in, but couldnt get up the rope. This dude before me sweated all over the freaking rope and I couldnt climb it fast enough...I believe the time was 7 seconds and I waas at 12....oh well it was fun.

there is no doubt that almost all professional athletes, especially football players, are NOT natural, no flame bro but just because they arent 250lbs and ripped, doesnt mean they aren't on AS. People would be shocked to know how many actually do it.

Why couldnt they have been on roids?? Its their game. My brother and his bros went to the place where they audition or whatever for participants. They were all huge ass military guys. A couple workers walked the line and picked out pretty much the smallest guys in the line to go in and fill out the paper work to apply.
Basically what Im saying is: The producers did not want big ass guys competing against their gladiators cause they didnt want their gladiators to get their asses kicked on TV. Ever notice the contenders were about 150 lbs and maybe the runner, bicyclist build.

Also. They had one guy on who was an indian. He played in War Party and a couple other movies. He was pretty tall but not huge. Well he kept winning each game and the pussy ass gladiators started to look bad.
Finally they started ganging up on him EVERY challenge he faced. 4 gladiators on this one guy while they let the other opponent score without any oppostion whatsoever. After that, I stopped watching cause I dont like watching babies cry when they lose.

They did seem bigger when I watched them as a kid. Now they seem kinda not so big.

Kinda like watching Rocky again. He looked so big but watching it again, he looks small. Same with MrT Back in the 80s he was feared. Looking back now, he didnt seem too big.

I have a question from when you guys were talking about how you'd be surprised how many people take AS. What about all the rappers out there and on MTV - and just black men period. So many black guys in big cities with drug dealing going on are just freakin huge. There is no way that black guys are genetically superior for muscular size by that much. They've GOT to be taking roids. I wonder what that statistic would be. I'm not racist at all, it just makes me wonder. Also, what about porn stars and other male model-types. Does anyone here think that an insane amount of them are on roids?
