You are getting some great advice here! Way to go Realtors
I have a 3000 square foot house on 1/2 acre it is about 8 years old. I purchased it for 314,000 eight years ago and it is worth $700,000 now
Im in the North West Bergen County NJ. Our prices are crazy high and you can't even by a lot for that price.
A 1 acre lot with a house that needs to be torn down is between 850-1,000,000.

Dang! Oh to live in Kansas I guess. I just read this whole thread and am total jealous. Happy for you but jealous. My 3800sf home on 1.5 acres of land will sell for around $590,000 in Pennsylvania. I couldn't imagine being able to pick up a crib like that for $140,000. Borrow money, sell stuff, whatever you have to do. Just buy it.
