All the free ones will never find 100% of the virus's no matter what, well that goes for every scanner. Bit defender, kaspersky and norton do a good job on caching a high percentage of virus's.
Bit-defender, kaspersky, and norton have been at the top of antivirus detection for a while. I know bit-defender has a free download, I dont know about the other two. But AVG antivirus is a high choice among people although it has a lower virus detection rate. The best bet, is to play it safe with what you do on the computer, be smart. And you can always attack virus's with two scanners like bit-defender and AVG. or whatever combo you choose.
