I Hate Travelling!

I've been on soooo many flights in my life I couldn't begin to count but I've only missed 2 before, and it wasn't my fault. TODAY, however I was supposed to fly to Denver at 7:34am out of a tiny airport in my town. I leave the house at 6:45am because the airport is only 15 minutes away. As soon as we pull out of the driveway I have the feeling that I forgot something (I always get that though, so I disregarded it). My friend gets me to the airport at about 7:10am and I realize that I forgot my carry-on bag at home (Mp3 player, food, etc...) so I am PISSED. I have never been to this airport before and they are doing construction so I am lost and I start running around all these trailers looking for the ticketing counter. I finally find it and as I'm walking up at 7:13am the ladies at the counter look at me and giggle. One of them asks me my name and they look at the computer. She looks me right in the eyes and says really loud, "TOO LATE!" as if it were funny or something. I look at the sign and it says you must be there 20 minutes before your flight, I had 19 minutes. GRRRRRRRR!!!!!!! I let her have it and started talking shit about the shitty airport and how confusing the maze was to get to the damned ticketing counter. She goes ahead and checks my bags for a 2:00 flight, getting me to my destination 6 hours later. Now I'm at home watching the clock, this sucks. My girlfriend is pissed at me now, too because she had all these plans for us tonight

Anyway, I felt like venting here instead of taking it out on something physically because that never ends up well for me!

At least you live close to the airport and you can go home, i live 5 minutes from Lga, its great, alot o people travel an hour or so to get to the airport and would be stuck there for the six hours..

haha yes in hindsight it was obviously my fault but I was still pissed and had to take it out somewhere! I got to Denver safely and now I'm getting used to the 20% less oxygen here lol.
