Back from the dead
So I just made a concious decision to get back into the game. I was huge into this lifestyle about 2 years ago and then.... I met a girl. She ****ed with my head, had me near suicide after I walked into OUR apartment and found her in bed with some guy. Well, after beating him sensless, getting arrested, and a good year of a horrible ***ression I want to come home. I want to come back to the board that made me the man I once was. I need your help guys and gals. I lost my edge. I lost my intensity... I lost it all. I was f'n nasty lookin, now I'm just nasty. Hell, I have forgotten more then most of you will ever know about this game (not trying to sound like an ass at all, and I do know that there are plenty who know volumes more then I ever did). Help me remember the things I have forgotten. I know I will be the one doing all the work in the gym, but just like before it is the stuff that I will learn here that I will be applying with the weights.
If anyone is in south jersey (cherry hill area) let me know. I would love the support of someone close by who has a love for this lady I call iron as much as I do.
Well wish me luck in regaining the body that you all helped build a few years ago through your knowldge!

Welcome back bro, you'll be surprised how much muscle memory will come into play. I stopped lifting for about a year because of a motorcycle accident and at first it was like starting all over but I put about 20-30lbs a month on my bench naturally for 4-6 months, it was awesome. Now, I am more addicted to lifting then ever.

Been there
I know what u went thru bro. Just went thru the same thing with my ex of 4 yrs, she cheated on me too. Lifting has really helped me a lot with getting over all the past sh*t. The weights are my therapy for dealing with the anger/sadness of the relationsh*t I went thru. Keep your head up bro, focus on your training.

Good Luck Man, during OIF 3 I lost a close friend in a fire fight and I went into depression for about 4 months and then one day I just thought I can't let this get the better of me and have been hitting the weights like a freak ever since.

Just posted my ideas for a workout up. Take a gander if interested. I like to keep it simple, old school, and mostly compound movements. Don't get me wrong, cable crossovers, close grip pull downs, a**uctor machines, etc are great for contest prep to polish u off but not for me.
Oh, and where the hell were you guys last night?!? I came to the meeting and there was no one there.

Bro welcome back. I've hit a couple of pretty bad lows myslef the past couple years. Training is all I have to keep my head straight. It's amazing how even a bad day in the gym still makes me feel better. I just came back 3 months ago after a year layoff. It was tough but I put on 25 pounds and I'm heavier and leaner than I've ever been. I'm putting up weight that I never did before. I love Lady Iron.

no woman is so perfect that she should cause that situation.......but sadly many men are led and dont lead.

Watched Jays vid before I hit the gym tonight!
Oh ya, I found an old Golds Gym tonight that is OLD SCHOOL!!!!!
This place is a temple of iron.. Only big dudes... Not many people, old school autographed pics of Kenny Waler, Dexter Jackson, Lou, and yes... a picture of Arnold with the owner takein out in front in the 80's it looks like.
No pretty equipment, no hip music, no A/C, no mass produced signs... Just old school, we dont f-around weights!!!! This reminds me of my first gym. I am so pumped. Love the place and its only 35 bucks a month w/ NO contract!!!!
I signed right up... Fuk Ballys. Anyone know how to get out of their contract? Might just have my bank account changed to my parents mailing address where there isnt a Ballys for atleats 45 miles. In the contract I just need to show proof that I have a bank statement (one of the choices) sent to that address.
