I started with the pre-med schedule and found out how much it's sucking to be a doc these days... now I don't really know what I'm doing.

Good question.
Right now I'm training people on a very small scale since I am in school most of the time. But I don't to do that the rest of my life.
I'm considering going into Rehab, possibly corporate Wellness while I'm still in school...
With Biomechanical engineering, I was hoping to work with some robotics for prosthetics.
Although I'm also considering going into Business.
So I grab my BS in Kinesiology in Spring, then I'll make my decision where to go from there.

yeah, I doubt you got op-1, it's made by stryker and it's stupid expensive. It's a BMP, or bone morphogenic protein. It attracts your body's own stem cells and tells them to make bone. It's a drug or protien that creates bone where ever you put it even if there shouldn't be bone there naturally. Crazy shit. Works great in old people who don't like to heal and people who have had failed surgery. Took 20 years to develop and millions.

dbm is just gylcerol and bone from cadavers mashed into it. It's only like 2% bone and the rest is carrier and that gets absorbed within a few days, that's why it isn't a great bone substitue. The bone is decalcified usually to some extent.

you got this stuff or a similar product, and yeah it's a puddy, docs like it cause it sticks where they put it and has bone in it. It works in young people but isn't all that great. I'm sure you're happy they didn't take bone from your hip though.
