Cologne
Im looking for a new, nice sporty smell good cologne. I was wondering what all you guys use and the price. Im not really looking for that musky smell.
Right now I use Aqua Di Gio by Armani and its about $70 a bottle. But Im looking for change.
How bout you guys?
I heard Cool Water by Davidoff was pretty decent, but havent tried it.

I hate cool water, it is to the 90's what Drakkar was to the 80's. My fav is versace blue jeans.

I change my colognes depending on the time of year and occasionally time of day. I primarily wear Kenneth Cole Reaction right now as a summer cologne and occasionally Alfred Sung Paradise. For winter I change a lot but I currently have Sean Jean Unforgiven, Aqua Di Gio and Burberry that I rotate between.

I've been wearing Abercrombie and Fitch's "Fierce" Cologne... It's only about 30 dollars but no joke, everywhere I go women come up to me, old and young, asking me what I'm wearing cuz it smells so good.

I like to have about six different ones on hand but for a sweet sporty one. Try benetton sport. At perfume worldwide. com you can try samples of different ones for like two dollars each and find out what you like.

BUT... the best smelling Men’s fragrance EVER is now (unfortunately) extinct.
“POLO TALC” by Ralph Lauren. It was an Old School Talc Powder that RL made back in the 90's. Usually came in a gift box.
Man... That shit was no joke. Just put a little of it on your wrists/fore arms, and rub it in with some unscented lotion... BAM! Nothing will ever come close.
You can’t even find the stuff on Ebay. It's a damn shame they discontinued it.
TRUE pimps everywhere shed a man tear that day.

if you can find it..Duc de Vervins...they stopped making it but for some reason Neiman Marcus still carries it...best cologne EVER!!! Every girl freaking loves it and the best part is no one has it so you dont smell like every other guy wearing Armani, Polo or whatever!!!

Kenneth Cole Black AKA "The Pantydropper".
I switch my fragrances up depending on mood, time of year, event, etc...but Kenneth Cole Black is the one I get the most compliments on.
Basically, if you can't get laid wearing this scent, you're hopeless.

You'd be surprised at how much it costs to make that stuff -- about 50 cents an ounce. Then they put it in a fancy bottle, which is another $1 or so, depending on how fancy it is. Their big expense is the advertising -- basically a photo of the bottle with an image of an attractive guy (probably more attractive than any of y'all) getting laid.
It's not difficult to make this stuff. One simple recipe could be:
5 ml of fragrance oil (one ml each of sandalwood, cedar, lime, vanilla, and bergamot essential oils)
1 ml of glycerine (available at your supermarket or drug store)
1 ml of BA (Benzyl Alcohol)
5 ml of distilled water
87 ml of denatured alcohol
Mix everything up in a dark glass bottle (light degrades colognes) and let it sit for 4 weeks so the fragrances can combine. Makes 100 ml of cologne.
It's basically 3 to 5 ml of fragrance oil to lots of alcohol, a little bit of water, and glycerine to sooth the skin and BA for preservative. Google for "essential oils" and see how much your favorite fragrances will cost ya. It'll be cheap, for sure.
Another simple one for a lime cologne:
5 ml of lime essential oil
1 ml BA
1 ml glycerine
5 ml of distilled water
87 ml of denatured alcohol
Presto, you've got 100 ml of a lime cologne. Or substitute sandalwood, or a mix of sandalwood and whatever, and you're smelling pretty.
a 1 ounce bottle of essential oil (30 ml, about $5) will make about 600 ml of cologne, enough to last you through 3 marriages . . .
Anyway, everything can be had over the internet at reasonable $$$. You could substitute everclear or vodka for the denatured alcohol (but don't use the denatured alcohol made with wood alcohol, because that's poisonous) if you don't want to pop for the good stuff. It's inexpensive, and ought to appeal to the chemists on this board . . .
just fyi . . .
