    Gym in Milan

I am living in Milan and been looking for a gym. I'll be here for 9 months. Every place I have seen is out of my price range. Tonic Gym 720 Euros/year= about $1000 a decent deal but I need to pay up front so thats costly. Down Town Gym I like but 210 Euros/mont= $300/mo. Get Fit Gym is 560 Euros for four months= abbout $750 for four month. Was really hoping to keep it around $100/month or so, but it really does not seem to be possible.

Anyone know a better deal here?

Cant help you but I'm jealous that you get to live there. I've seen pics and heard many good things about Milan. I would love to visit there someday.

Milan is sweet. I went there this summer, it was a blast. Seems like just about everyone there is between 20-30. Great nightlife...

Prices vary depending on what you get. Groceries are cheap, restuants depend a lot on the neighorhood. Gyms are scarce and expensive. Was paying $160 a month in NYC because I wanted a really nice gym. There I can get a decent one for $100 and an accptable one for half that. Here they are nice but, I would settle for the $50 version. Don't seem to exist.

One place sold me a 20 euro day pass but the heaviest dumbell was 36 Kilos. I generally use 100 lb weights on my chest sets, so I'll need to swith to barbells which I do not like as much (when I join).

Since no one seems to know a cheap one, I'll probably bite the bullet and fork ofver the significant cash. Hate to do it as its really out of my price range, but I made the commitment to myself quite a while back so...
