arguing about religion is pointless, you get nothing outta it except angry....no one is right and no one is wrong and once you find out if your right or wrong it will be late to tell anyone.....

not bitter at all, just making my point.. I LOVE a good discussion! I am happy when I am disproven as it means I learned something.. I'm completely willing to listen to anything presented as fact and verifiable.

And the reason you don't need to see "christianity threads" is because it's already preached on TV, the radio, and streets across America. In those locales the people are unwilling t oform rational thoughts and discuss what they say are facts and th makes for bad conversation. In forums like this it is an opportunity to stand behind the "Word" and prove it in a grown-up fashion without the smoke-n-mirrors shit pulled in church and elsewhere. this is, of course, just my opinion... I could be wrong but that's how I see it Thanks for discussing this with me.

(Note - I have not and will not watch the video as I don't need or want my beliefs to be challenged. I have faith in what I believe in and that's what matters most. While I respect the beliefs and the opinions of any and all, I shall allow my faith to prevail during these circumstances and that allows me to remain true to myself and not frown upon others.)

The thing is....I could sit in a dark, quiet room for hours and force myself to hear something that is not really there.

Moral of the story: You are what you believe in. Period.

I suppose you can find it on the tv and radio if you look hard enough... but many posts rail against it like someone is holding them down and carving jesus into their skin daily. Its almost like a child rebelling against their parents.

Christians aren't called to prove the Word to anyone. They are called to carry out their lives according to the Word. I personally cannot force my beliefs upon anyone nor can I expect a non-believer to become a believer through my own personal power. It's up to me as a Christian to pray for those non-believers so that He can potentially open the hearts to those that are guarded at this time.

What I was trying to illustrate with the 'fact' comment was that this movie takes facts in the Bible, or elsewhere, and attempts to turn these facts against themselves.

You are correct that Jesus was actually born in August or September. I find it odd that you mock me as a Christian but have helped to disprove 'facts' in this movie. Early Christians did not even celebrate Christ's birth.

In Acts 2:42 "they continued steadfastly in the Apostles doctrine in fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers." The Apostles doctrine emphasized the death, burial and resurrection of Christ and not the birth. The first day of the week was given for the day upon which the Church is to assemble to show forth the death of Christ. Acts 20:7. The Apostles forbade the Church keeping days not authorized in Christ's New Testament plan. Gal. 4:10-11. "Ye observe days and months and times and years. I am afraid of you lest I have bestowed upon you labor in vain." Notice, Paul said his labor among them was in vain if they observed unauthorized days, etc.

Not sure what argument you were trying to make here, but thanks for the ammunition...
yes and all very similiar to many other beleifs and religions 1,000,s of years before the time of Crist...

Hah... I never argue about stuff like that.

Why? Because I will NEVER know the truth 100%. Why? Becasue everything that we know and read is obviosly written by humans.

Humans lie and turn stuff around.

All I can do is read, watch and listen to all this but in the end I will have my own opinion about everything. My own beliefs.

    I only trust myself 100%.

Just because I read that throwing the brick against the window will break the glass doesn't mean it is a fact right away.

But when I will grab the brick and throw it agains the window and it will actually break the glass - or see it happen with my eyes - then sure it makes it a fact.

This is how I understand facts.
