    getting tested

im applying for a job in the carpenters union and when i filled out the application today it said that there gonna test for drugs and alcohol. i guess my question is how long does alcohol stay in your system? if i rember right it doesnt stay in your system for long. im not gonna be having an interview for 3-4 weeks so im not worried but i was just curious. also do you think they will know when they test me if i do steroids or not? i havnt started my cycle im just gonna wait and see if i get in or not.

Say you had five drinks over five hours. At the end of the fifth hour you would have virtually no alcohol left in your blood stream, therefore no alcohol for the kidneys to filter out. If there's not alcohol left for your kidney's to filter out of your blood, there's no alcohol to be added to your urine. Your urine will probably not show any alcohol after about two hours after your liver finishes metabolizing it.

In the above example, after about 7 to 8 hours from your first drink, there will only be trace amounts in your urine.

So, unless you've consumed more that 36 beers in the last hour of drinking, it probably won't show up.
