whats your security on your pc like?

Im using AVG free edition and Zone alarm anti virus also use spybot search n destroy.

Use firefox Firefox browser, use its clean up facility to clear up web activity everyday as well as steganos one click destruction.

from time to time i defrag using windows, then use
Steganos to clean the available disk space on my HDD, normally use the quicker shredder the one that conforms to DoD standard, have used the Guttman once, bet very lengthy.

    What you use?

also to the guys who know their stuff whats ur take on this? am i doing enough or am i wasting my time?

I use Spybot Search and Destroy for adware.

I have norton Anti-virus for protection. I personally don't feel safe using a free program to protect my computer. Norton is updated all the time which makes me feel i am getting my moneys worth. Spending 50.00 a year to protect my identity is more then a deal in my eyes. I am also behind a firewall on my router which isn't much but its something.

To clean all traces of your web activity and clean temp files try this free program call CCleaner, better known as crap cleaner (http://www.ccleaner.com/) Does an AWESOME job. Not only do they always update their program but they also add in registry tools, and startup editing.

To defrag i use Diskeeper which i find works better then windows defragger. Has a lot more features then just defraggin and is a lot faster.

zonealarm for firewall. avg for antivirus. adaware for spyware. registry mechanic for my registry. run a disk defrag every once in a while.

all are free except for registry mechanic.

should always have a software firewall aside from your routers built in one.

avg is an awesome free antivirus tool. the last update was today. and it is just as effective as norton antivirus but without leeching so much of your ram. the only decent part about norton would be probably the system works. but that's why i use all these other more efficient programs.

    i never have an issue.

    cheerz.

Cisco asa 5505, no virus scanner, manually monitor my start and BHO and what not.
Any AV with realtime scanning has way to many I/O reads and makes a huge impact in perfomance even with my quad core 8800 ultra oc'ed 2gb pc2-9200, asus striker extreme box.
    I run clean
