What if Ron Paul does not get the Republican nominee?
I am just asking question this is not to piss anyone off. I know there are a lot of Ron Paul supporters here. My question is, if Ron Paul does not get the Republican nominee who would be the next in line for your vote? Plus are you a registered Democrat or Republican?

I vote for whoever I think is the best candidate, even if he's not leading in the polls.
Screw what the newspapers/TV/pundits say. They don't report the news impartially.
They're employees of multi-national corporations who have a vested interest in who gets elected, so screw 'em, their opinion, and the horse they rode in on.
If my candidate doesn't get elected, then I'm happy to go along with whoever did -- as long as there was no funnybusiness involved . . .

At the moment, I would vote for McCain. This will piss of some of my conservative brethren, but I think that he and a conservative Vice-President can defeat the Clinton machine by pulling alot of the Independent vote to the Right. Right now, it is all about keeping the Socialists out of the Oval office.

i'd love to see him run as a liberitarian but he has said he wouldnt do that because the system is so biased. but i think by the time the general elections takes place he will have reached more people about his message.
hillary and obama is just as bad as mccain and romney imo. if hillary gets elected which i think she will, its important to keep in mind that since 1992 we have only had bush's and clinton's in office. thats 16 yrs and if hillary goes for 2 terms that would be 24 yrs. am i the only one who thinks that strange

I guess Mccain, but I really wouldn't want to. I think it would be interesting to see if Bloomberg runs. That guys got something like $11 billion so it wouldn't be hard for him to get a lot of media attention (especially considering he owns an outlet) and sway a lot of votes.

Not like the Hillarycare plan that failed and not run by the gov't. That last thing we need is more gov't in our shit. I know when he was in Boston he lead a program, which he signed into law a couple of years ago, includes a requirement that everyone in Massachusetts get some form of health insurance. If they don't, they face a series of increasing tax penalties.

He won't get the nominee but he'll be running independent anyway.

1.McCain - war-hero, plus i was on his bandwagon in 2000, I see him slowly picking up the fight against the deficit too.
2. Romney - he was bred to lead govern, or lead a nation.. His father was a governor, Mit ran a bunch of corporations (started up Staples).. He rescued the Winter Olympics in Utah, that was running over budget when he got hired.. He was governor of Massachusetts..

No, it's not a fact. Just something that I believe. He can't come out and say that he'll run as an independent now unless he drops out of the republican race because it will hurt his campaign. His supporters want to see him fight it out as long as possible so he can propel his name out there longer and THEN when all hope is lost he'll declare himself independent on the ballot. If he were to declare now he wouldn't be invited to debates, his name would be off all ballots and his campaign would come to a halt for a few months.
