I think that Brock will hand mir's ass to him on a silver plater in the first round....
Have only seen Brock fight twice but Mir just dosent seem to have the heart, drive or determination anymore....
I guess we will see soon....

265? ehh, that is about what I thought.
I live within 10 miles of him, and every once in a while I see him around the St.Cloud or Kimbal area.
I know he is tall, and he looks WAY bigger in person than he looks in pictures.
I figured he was not as heavy as when he was in the WWE, but he still looks HUGE, and for a tall guy, thick as a dinosaur.
I think some folks here forget how very big 265 really is at under 12% BF.

He sort of has a weird structure though. Not as noticeable in person, but you can tell in pics, he has a very short waist, and very long arms and legs.
I remember back in late 2003, in the WWE, There was a survivor series match, with Matt Morgan 6-10, Nathan Jones 6-10, Lesnar 6-3 and Bigshow 7-1. At the time Lesnar was heavier too, around 290 pounds.
I noticed an odd thing about The Structure of Lesnar compares to Morgan and Jones. Lesnars Legs, and arms and even the width of his lats traps were about the same as Nathan Jones’s and Morgans. The head size was the same, arm and leg length too. The thickness of the limbs was the same etc…
The only difference was that Lesnar has a VERY SHORT WAIST. Morgan and Jones had about a 6" to 7” longer waists than Lesnar, but everything else was about the same on them.
I wonder if that long limb length and very short waist gives him any advantages on the matt?
You can see this in pictures of Lesnar easily, and it is kind of freaky structure.

I don't understand the significance of a short waist? Please explain. Sorry, I'm not a fighter.

Yeah no shit, my point in pointing it was not to cut him down or anything.
I was just wondering if the unusual structure may be an advantage in wrestling. Not the WWE style, but the collage style that made him famous originally.
Being 265 pounds, let alone the 290+ he once was, with under 10% bodyfat is Unusual as it is, and in person he is a mountain.
I would think that his relatively long limbs to his height ratio + the shortness of his waist kind of makes him an octopus on the mat.
A 6’3” 265 pound octopus, who can crush the life out of about any from the rest of the 99.9% of the human population.

Yeah, that's why this will be exciting. I can't imagine anything hurting this man, and if he won his first bout in 1 min 9 sec, you can bet Mir is second quessing himself.

Compared to the rest of his body he does have a very short torso. Sometimes having longer arms and legs can help you on a wrestling mat, but its not a huge advantage or anything. He is definetely a great athlete. Probably a better athlete than Mir. But lets face it he has had one fight and fought a less than par fighter. In my opinion if he didnt have the name he has and the ability to sell tickets than he would have never been brought up to the UFC so fast. His greatest strength will be his wrestling ability no doubt but he hasent fought anyone like Mir accident or not. I think it will be a better fight than most think. Cant wait to watch it.
