I love Zeitgeist but the only thing I feel about Zeitgeist is bullshit is the first part about religion. They literally provide no references or sources to back up their claims about how every single other religious belief has exact similar Jesus-figures. I went and did some research myself to see if these things are infact true and I couldn't find these things out, and I was getting conflicting information with what Zeitgeist was telling us in the first part.

Everything else about the movie is excellent though and is backed-up and supported by various audio clips, video feeds, references to documents and books that you can look up yourself, etc. But if anyone actually believed anything in the first part of the video, you should reconsider and do research on your own behalf. I do agree however that religion has been used as an excuse to control people, and therefore that is why I am against organized religion (though I am not anti-religion itself, just anti-organized religion), but the claims made in the first part are WAY out of whack.

That is the part Atomini is saying to research... for anyone that has researched theology,religion and origin, it is really not a great mystery why the religions relate in one form or another. All stem from 2-3 main belief systems and have varied and branched off from there (Judaism = Muslims, Christians,etc... Hinduism = Bhuddism, Jainism, etc). While now, you see all the current beliefs and religions, they all actually derived from a single source if you look back far enough.. so really if someone tries to twist that part like Zietgliest.. then you can make the case that they are actually the ones who are not informed properly on that particular subject.
