Just got home from hospital
hey guys just thought id let you know, i got taken to hospital on monday, was on deaths door with a temp of 41 deg C and a rash all over me. Turned out i had Measles, jesus i thought it was just alll a bit of a thing children get, im telling you guys if you aint been vaccinated make sure you are this thing has knocked the shit out of me, i was put on a drip and used 8 bags up untill wednesday morning.
After they felt i was talking on enough fluid they took me off the drip and i started to manage with thinkgs on my own a bit.
They discharaged me this afternoon. I still feel very fuzzy headed, and really really weak, I dont know how long this will take to pass a few weeks i imagine?.
Just stepped off my bathroom scales, im 10lb lighter than i was 7 days ago too.
Its gonna be a long wait to get back in the gym!
I will say this though, thank god for the NHS, those nurses and stuff are way too underpayed and undervalued, they are pure angels!!!

Damn! Glad you're ok! I didn't get vaccinated when I was born because of the beliefs of my parents. Well, I had to get a couple for legal reasons but besides that I didn't.

Thanks for your wishes guys! im well on the road to getting better now. Just like a baby now, one minute ill be up and about doing something the next ill be sleeping like ive done a 30 mile march. Ive missed all of you, been a long week for me so far. Ill not rush to get back in the gym, ive got years ahead of me so ill be making sure im 100% before i get back to it.
I really cannot fault the service i recieved, ive never been on th recieving end before and i think it was my experience with sick people that made me seek medical attention.
Im not the kind of person to go to the doctors etc, in fact i hate the place almost to a fear, but on monday when i was in bed feeling like i was, i knew that being in hospital wouldnt be anyworse and all i could think about was having an IV.
My girl friend called 999 and in a couple of miutes later there was a paramedic in a car here checking me over, it knew she was just doing routine stuff, but the level of safety i was feeling was nothing ive felt before, but i guess its something i have taken for granted being on the other end.
I knew it wanst life threatening at that point, but knew if left it could be.
When i was taken in to A an E they got me seen to pretty quickly even though it was really busy. Then in a side room lay me on a bed and a few specialists came down to see me, once the drip was put in i felt cooler and my fluid levels seemd better too, i guess this is what i wanted from it.
The best news was when the One specialist said they will need to keep me in for atleast 2 days.
They took me up to a room on a ward that looked like it was part of a private hospital, because of what i had they put me in a room on my own. No TV or anything, but the state i was in TV was the last thing i was wanting.
Everyone there was so kind! i really am so glad i went there, they where the very best you could wish for to care for a sick relative or friend.
Ive always said that they are worth more than they are given credit for, but when you have their health put in their hands you see just how much more
