That video showed a legitimate use of force as the man tried to resist arrest and assault a police officer, the officer would have been within in his right to use his firearm on that person. That is the only time that a taser can be legitimately used, is in lieu of deadly force, as I have said about three thousand times before in previous threads. Let me say it again, the taser can only be used IN LIEU OF DEADLY FORCE.
That means, the taser is the step BEFORE drawing your firearm, and the step AFTER physical force, pepper spray, and a PR-24.

all a police officer has to do is say is that you look suspicious and he has the right to card you do to his descression. the thing you have to realize is that no matter what you say LE will get away with a lot of shit. now im not saying that some of the shit that goes on isnt shady. and i do agree with a lot of the points that you make but i dont agree with this one. not only that but if police set up any check point quess what they can stop you and ask you for your ID altough you have done nothing wrong what so ever.

There seems to be a whole lot of America bashing lately. Unfortunately, I didn't pay much attention in my government class in high school, but I believe we vote to get these fools in office. Maybe not the president because he is elected by the electoral college, but we elect the state legislators. I do not want to get off on a tangent here, so to my real point.
These are state police, right? So this has nothing to do with our president. It is up to us as countrymen to make a change. By spreading the message, and electing people that want to make the changes the public wants at the state level. Not electing the man that has the most money to spend on a campaign. It's up to us to know the issues and to vote for the people who we feel best suited to do the job. So if anything, we are to blame.
Please correct me if I am wrong. Just my .02.
Peace.

The whole "I don't care, I have nothing to hide" attitude is exactly what they have brainwashed everyone into thinking.
It's also funny to hear these people talk because they can never say anything to back their sheep mentality. It's always "You don't like it, leave" and "Who cares, I got nothing to hide".
Naturally when this eventually affects them directly, then they will cry and piss and moan, oh and don't forget the common term "I'm an American I have rights"..yell that out loud before they taze you.
I would dare say 85% of the population know that line 'I'm an American I have rights" yet couldn't begin to tell you what the **** they are?
Damn, this shit must be like stealing candy from a baby for the Elite. Wow!***No source checks!!!***

in south florida its the law, if you dont have your id on south beach or the strip you can/will be arrested, ive seen the cops arrest people just for that.
that was a great cop imo
you dont do shit like that in south florida
if that was here all you would of seen was her getting dragged out of the cameras view then the cop sayin put the knife down ladie. lol
here the state prison is way better than the county lock up. the deps. scare you more than the inmates, they should be the inmates
bring her here she would of learnedLast edited by Second2None; 05-13-2008 at 09:22 PM.

That's the spirit, remember to keep that attitude once it directly affects you and don't piss and moan "My rights were violated"...how do you know your rights were violated? Do you even know what they are? Shit, the cops don't even know....
Being a cop today is admittedley stating you will break the law and deprive citizens of their civil liberties. These clowns don't have a clue, listen to those tools talk on camera. A ****ing joke.***No source checks!!!***

Correct, but its his word against yours!!! All he has to say is that there was a bank robbery down the road and you fit the description of the suspect. I know I did not rob the bank, so here's my ID and have a nice day. If you think he won, your wrong.. I once again I will smile as I head to the golf course or to the gym, then he's onto the next person, and let them be the wise ass that makes him angry. I mean are you really going to be a prick to a cop, for him asking to see some ID? Try being a tough guy in a dark alley here in NY and see if they care about your rights!!!! Cops are human and there mentality will never change, not NOW, not in 20 years, so why start a conflict with a loser with a badge and a gun???

I think it's funny how many people watch that and think it's "This Country" that has the issue. This is a perfect example of individual flaw. Those officers were ignorant and obviously not familiar with law at all. A bad choice on their part and they should have been diciplined for their actions.

Ok, lets all ignore the specifics about whether or not you are REQUIRED to show ID or not. Although, I dont think you should be trying to make the cops job any easier for him. Regardless, the point of these type of videos is to show the conditioning that the authoritys are putting into place. It is the slippery slope effect that we are trying to warn against. It is best we recognize it now before we are all required to carry our papers. It is a huge danger to our free society if a national ID card should ever be implemented. That is because the system once put in place is subject to abuses of power. People that can be tracked at all times is a danger, the ways in which it can be abused are numerous!
Im going to post a new video which shows how the "terrorism" agenda is being used to supress the 1st Amendment and discourage protesting&dissent.

It is a good post, but obviously there are two conflicting sides. I understand both, but still think the lady should have just given her ID and been on her way. Of course she had the right to do what she did, therefore in the long run, she will prevail and probably win some money over it. My point is that even though she is right, she wasted at least one day proving it. Everyone here saying she should have shown her ID, is not saying give up your rights, buts rather weigh them against the time you will waste proving them.

Here are some videos I posted awhile back, at least I think I did.
Homeland Security Check Points
Video 1
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u6uw7506xMw
Video 2
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K8hcf1flFHA
Video 3
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=irYJVn2k6zU
In particular, watch this video (video 3). Listen to the "Border Patrol Agent" attempt to draw him into an arguement. "Filming me, you are vearing close to the barrier and in doing so are creating a traffic hazard" hahaha
Video 4
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TuIwz8ddAYo
Video 5
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1GgkB9Cs18I
I like how they don't answer his questions, in doing so would be breaking the law. It's funny how he just keeps asking "Am I being detained", "What's the purpose of this stop?"....
They know not to answer, so they say "You are free to leave". hahaha
Seriously, shit is in a trial phase right now. Americans for the most part are law abiding people, we simply obey laws and coupled with the majority not even knowing their rights in the first place, just makes it that much easier for them to violate your rights.
My question is, if it is "legal" stop than why do they let him go when he refuses? Interesting huh?Last edited by Panzerfaust; 05-14-2008 at 05:57 PM.

bros, driving is a privilage, not a RIGHT,, therefore u must show some ID and/or DRIVERS LICENSE to police to show that u have a valid license to drive, if in fact you're in the drivers seat.
btw, all the books they found in her car sound like anti-gov shit to me. she's a nutjob and thought she could have a trial about her ID issues right there from her car.
bottom line if u refuse to show u have a valid license to drive, and you're in the fukin driver's seat, u can be arrested!
imo the cops could have been a little more easy on her,, its a woman after all, not some big menacing dude,, but she still fukked it up for herself.Last edited by bd50; 05-15-2008 at 01:49 AM.

i am showing those fcuks my idea so they dont get me on something else like they did with that lady. i dont have time to be a constitutional rights activist. to get unlawfully arrested, than higher a lawyer, sit in court, pay court fees, lose money for missing time form my office have this shit drag on for months when all of this could have been avoided by flipping your ID to the hill billy cop and going on your way. i am taking the smart way out. i am not going to press the issue unless i have no choice and i know i am going to jail anyway.if i see their is a possibility out, i am shooting for that.
for instance i was in southern CA, close to UC fullerton i think, i am not from the area. anyway, i was with a friend who also wasnt from the area. we went out and had about 15 drinks a piece. we were walking across the st and the cops grabed us. we were going to be given a ticket fo J walking! i am very pissed off and very drunk. now my first thought was to flip the fcku out tell the guy i wasnt going to show him any idea, i was never going to pay the fine no matter what, and that the whole thing was f'n bullshit BUT instead i showed the guy the idea answered five or so questions than i asked the guy if there was anyway he could cut us a break, not make a big deal of it, and let us go since we didnt know this rule was being enforced. cop looked at me and said, sure, you seem like a good guy, get lost and dont drive, shook his hand and said, deal. now if i played it dumb, and fliped out, i would have been probably beat down. thrown in jail for the night, faceing all sort of extra fines like public drunkness, assault, disorderly conduct, court etc etc etc. sometimes you have to play it smart. and for those who disagree , be difficult with cops, spend a day or two in jail for acting like a cock. lose a bunch of cash on fines and attorney costs and see how well it works. been there done that, never letting it happen again. it isnt worth the bullshit to prove a point

just checked this with a state trooper buddy of mine. absolutely true! i have a few friend in the NYPD, philly pd, NY, NJ, and PA state police as well as local small towns cops. all say the same thing. the less of a prick you act like, the better the chance they will let you go. they also tell me if you drive close to the speed limit, 9 out of ten times they wouldnt have any reason to pull you over in the first place!!!

This afternoon, Sunday, in a rural area (it happens to be a dry county), I saw a checkpoint. Cars were being stopped going both directions.
I was just going to the grocery store on a routine errand. I am a law-abiding citizen with no arrests (ever) and no recent traffic citations. (no gear either - still learning)
I turned around and went home when I saw the flashing lights and stopped cars in the distance. I believe in my 4th Amendment rights.
I believe that we are being "tested" to see how much intrusion we will "put up with."
I am hardly anti-American. I'm old enough to remember times before people going about their business lawfully were stopped by law enforcement.
(I waited a couple of hours and went to the grocery store with no problems.
