    Question Vacation spot

OK guy, its that time a year again were i need to book a vacation for my wife and i.

Last year we went to Las Vegas for a week. I was lucky and was able to go in October and see Mr O.

But this year i was looking for something a little more relaxed. The problem is i have a real tight budget this year. I am booking this trip with out my wife knowing for her B-day and are 3th anniversary.

So i was thinking about going to a tropic setting. I have been looking into Aruba and now that Grad Cayman islands. We have done the Bahamas quit a few time so i was looking to try something different.

I was hopping you guys could give some more ides of places to go. Keep in mind we are very active couple and love doing activities.

    Thanks
    Gsxxr

Cayman would be awesome. I'm planning a cruise to the western carribean. If you're looking to do a budget vacation check the 3 day cruises on orbit or cheap carribean. I like cruises better than resorts, lot more to do. Buy your drinks on the islands though, save a ton of cash.

There is a cruise you can bring your bikes on! You get to ride them all over the islands when the ship goes to port... not sure what cruise it is but someone was telling me about it... might be cool

Aruba is amazing, you also might want to check one of the all inclusive sandals resorts, sometimes they run sales on like buy 3 nights get 2 free. They are resorts meant just for couples and EVERYTHING is included including a private butler. If you look into that, each place might have a little different pricing, but their Antigua resort is amazing!

    Yes, NJ!

But if your on a tight budget try Martin Luther King Boulevard in Newark.
There are lots of interesting natives to observe.

Just don't wear a lot of blue.. or any at all really.

Maybe an Alaska cruise if you wanna do something different? Or a sea kayaking expedition?

Or maybe if you like hikes and bikes you could take her to some lodge in the rockies, or even vermont or the adirondacks?

I dunno... just throwing ideas at ya...

Thanks for the advise. I did book a trip to Aruba at the Renaissance Resort and Casino. This was an Adult only resort with no kid . I booked a 5 night stay for September. I need time to run my cycle and for wife to get back into shape.

The price was not bad It was $1790 with flight and after tax. I look into all the other adult resorts in the Caribbean and found this one to be the best. It just turns out that its a 4 star hotel and was also the cheapest.

Do you know if there are any nude beaches or swing clubs in Aruba?????

I all most booked Cypress Cove Nudist Resort & Spa in F.L. I was think of when i was looking into it.

Been to alot of places, and one of my favorites is the Half Moon hotel in Montego Bay Jamaica!!! We did the all inclusive deal, were you can eat and drink as much as you want!!!. The food is great, good drinks, you can swim with the dolphins, also swim with the horses[ which for some reason bugged the hell out of me, cause you go out into the ocean like 50 yards, and have to hold onto a beast of a horse that is making crazy ass sounds!!},there is something like 50 pools, and the beaches are amazing!! Here are a few pics from last year!!! Note: it is very exclusive hotel, and is spread over like 5 miles long, so if privacy and just being alone with you wife is your thing, then this is your place.. Some people like to chill with other couples, which could happen here, but when I went we only saw people at diner, which is what I liked..

Go up to Torch Lake in Michigan. I'm there a few times during the summer and it's a blast plus it's one of the top 3 inland lakes in the world!

edit; I'm being kind of sarcastic because I know you'll want to be in the Caribbean sometime but if anyone wants a nice trip that lives in the midwest Torch Lake is where it's at. I'll show you Eminem, Dave Matthews and stupid Michael Moores homes.

Hey Gsxxr, I read you were saying you were kind of strapped for money and I also read people recommending places like Turks & Caicos to you and Aruba. Hell if those are considered cheap than why not just say f-ck it and go to Bora Bora.

Anyways man all kidding aside.....look into the Dominican Republic. It is still a relatively cheap place in the Carribean and it is very beautiful and relaxing. Look at Punta Cana. I think that is the prettiest part of it. I have been all over the Carribean and I definitely think it is the best deal overall.

I did look into Bora Bora. It was 6k each.

The aruba trip did not price out bad. It came to just under $1800 for 5 night including flight from NYC

Does that 1800 include food? I paid 3 grand for everything for my girl and I, which included 5 nights, all food, drinks, most activities, flights, and tons of extra perks, such as champagne in your room the 1st night, stocked mini bar, which everything inside it was free!!! I was in shock how you could just eat and drink all you wanted. I thought it was a gimmick and they were going to charge me at the end, cause I literally was having steaks and lobsters like they were going out of style!!!

I never get the meal plan. My wife and i like to go out to different places outside the resorts. Also during the day we out out doing activities so we just grab or bring lunch.

Aruba does not have any completely nude beaches. Your Renaissance hotel has an private island with one side that is topless. Have a good time

i just got back from a cruise to the eastern and southern carribean and loved it. if your considering a cruise there great and really not that expensive but if you want to spend a week in one place then aruba, st. martin or st. thomas are my favorite places.

GSXXR, if you're interested in nude beaches, while you're in aruba you could fly out to our neighbour island Bonaire where there is a nude beach/hotel. Bonaire is also ranked in the top 10 of the world for its diving sites. Its about 3 times the size of Aruba but only has a population of about 13,000 people compared to Aruba's 130,000. Tons of beaches where you will feel as if the beach belongs to you. Flight fares should only be around $150 per adult.

BTW, does that GSXXR stand for a motorcycle or are you a bike fan?

Nah man, no boat, just small airplane, its about 30 min flight.

If you have a GSX you will love the bikes on the island. You'll see plenty of turbo'ed and nos'd busas with exteded arms, kawasaki 1400's, customs, harley's etc. Go to www.arubaraceway.com maybe there's an intl event or a bike show when you're down here. You could also check out big twin and rent a harley for a day. Take care

just about every island in the carribean has adult and topless beaches but you'll like aruba because its beautiful. there are alot of beaches and the shopping district is beautiful huge. there are alot of iguanas running around everywere in aruba so as long as you dont mind them you'll be fine. if you have any questions about the best beaches or anything else just ask me because i was there a few weeks ago and still have all my maps and brochures i got from the island.
