I'm switching to the iPhone within a month or so. My Treo for Verizon is alright and get on every webpage but it's slow. Also, the iPhone app store was one of the main reasons why I'm going to switch.

Just download Opera Mini for whatever phone you get. It's a JAVA app. Works good on any phone, I use it on my Razr2 V9. It's a decent free web browser.

The Palm Treo phones have real internet like you are talking about, I have one of those and I also have a Blackberry Curve, it really just depends on what else you are going to be using it for. But I like how the Treo phones function with the internet and they run off of a Windows format.
