Help picking Conceal&carry gun
Ok guys, so I need some help picking out a carry piece. Right now I have a Sig Sauer P229 in .40cal. It's a great gun but just a little too big and heavy to carry all day comfortably. I was looking at the Glock 27 or 30, in either 9mm or .45... What do people here carry comfortably? Let me know....

I got a interchangeable suppressor for a .44 . Threaded the barrels and it fits both the pistol and the rifle. There's waaaay too much red tape to go through to get one of them things tho.. FBI background check?? Gimme a break. And it still only brought it down to a little quieter than a .22

Try out the compact springfield xd or the walther pps. The walther is slimmer than your wallet. If you want smaller you can get the ruger lcp .380 and if you want to carry small gun in a .45 para has a warthog.

I live in NJ but spend a large portion of my week in PA...You cant get a PA carry permit unless you already have one in the state you live in. However, if you get a Non-Resident Florida permit, it is reciprocal with PA, therefore allowing you to legally carry in PA.

S&W 442. 5 shot 38. its a great little gun. small and light so you actually WILL carry it. You can put it in a pair of elastic band shorts or sweatpants and your pants will stay on.

I dont know whether to go with high capacity, low recoil, fast recovery time.. Or high powered, low recovery... I saw a snubnose .454 Cassul, that looked interesting....
I was really leaning towards the Glock 27 in 9mm, loaded with 147gr. +P HydraShoks...Gives me 10 rounds in a very very small and lightweight package. I would also be changing rounds by season, for instance in winter when people are wearing more clothing I would switch to a much heavier grain FMJ for penetration.

Not a glock fan, they have been known to fire out of battery. Try the xd it has a better trigger and more safety. Plus it has a 1911 grip angle and its the same size as the glock. Xd comes with a holster, magazine loader, mag holder, two clips, one is extended. On top of all that its about fifty dollars cheaper.

Not a safety per say but a very long trigger pull....
I feel completely comfortable just throwing it in my pocket and going for a jog....
Its a great little gun light, very small and with the proper bullets can pack one hell of a punch....
For personal protections you want something that is easy to carry and not cumbersome other wise you'll always be debating on weather or not to carry it because of the inconvenience of weight or bulkiness....

I carry a Springfield armory XD40 .40cal....i originally purchased a GLock23 but didnt like it...i felt like i was holding a 2X4..just didnt fit my hand well...do yourself a favor, hold the pistol and make sure it feel right in your hand before you purchase....Glock does make 1 hell of a gun though if you feel comfortable with it....JMO...oh ya and one more thing, keep into consideration that the bigger the cal. the more the bullets cost...

Check out the Kimber Ultra Carry II .45 ACP. Uber reliable, uber tough, uber lightweight, and if staring down the barrel of a .45 doesn't change an assailant's mind, then get the gun DSM recommends.

You could also get a .357, use the 124gr hp, voted one of the best personal defense rounds. Also take into consideration that a revolver has less malfunctions, so if you have a misfire just keep pulling the trigger. Most firearm encounters happen within five to seven feet, so if you have a malfunction in semi-automatic,then kicking up dust is your next option.
