You don't have to go to Curves LOL...

The area around Sidney and Victoria is really w/o friendly - no matter if you want to ride a bike outside, walk, or w/o at the gym. A LOT of people there are into fitness -

There's all kinds of places - they just might not be right in Sidney though. You might need to go over to Victoria, which is really close.

Vancouver and the surrounding area has a REALLY active bicycling and walking culture, too. The winters aren't really bad - so people exercise outside most of the year.

Try one of these walks and you might find a good place - starting points are often gyms and so on -

I dunno about hardcore iron-pounding gyms, but I'm sure there are some in that area...

P.S. I'm not from there but I'd love to be there - visited a few years ago and walked plenty km 'round those parts! :-)
