Mature help
One of my friends that is mentally handicapped that I have known for a long time has ended up in the hospital and is not doing well. I was hoping that maybe some of you guys that can think of some good gift ideas besides the usual flowers in a hospital for someone. Thanks

if u got an old game boy or game system, maybe some dvd's he could watch in the hospital.
If hes really handicapped maybe going to toys R' us and walking through there something might jump out at you that you remember he had interest in or amused him in some way.
Hope hes alright and god bless bro!

cheap laptop if he is capable of using it. Or if the hospital allows for a gaming system. You get him the old ps2 that go pretty cheap that may help him recover too. Just some ideas there. Anything that keeps his mind of.

When my grandfather had brain surgery he was very handicapped after the operation for one month, and he was very sad because he suddely was like a two year old kid, couldn't walk, talk coherently...so I bought him an easy 100 piece puzzle and afterwards a minihouse to build, with actual minibricks, cement, grass, wood to make a fence...he enjoyed very much and seemed to be very happy with it.

Love and personal attention.....as I'm sure you've realized over the years, thats all they really want. Grab some picture of him/her, you, friends, family and get him some stuff to make a basic scap book. I just recently began taking care of my mentally challenged aunt......it will change your life. i really respect and appreciate that no one took this ripe opportunity for wise cracks. thanks bros.
