Worst Case Scenario:
"Scientists inadvertently make a micro black hole, and the earth is quickly erased from existence. Just kidding: scientists at CERN and elsewhere have ruled out the possibility that the LHC will create any kind of doomsday scenario. The black holes that the LHC could theoretically create don't even have enough energy to light up a light bulb. On the other hand, the U.K.'s Astronomer Royal put the odds of destroying the world at 1 in 50 million (which puts it in the realm of possibilities but still not as likely as hitting the lottery)."

Most people don't know this but the world actually came to an end back in 1985.
None of this is real.

once they can recreate some of the big bang theory and find the god particle they will say "we proved there is no god".

Ah yes, I can see the articles now. This would still be argued though. It will then be pointed out that in order for the big bang to happen. matter existed first. It didnt just happen out of non existense. So what created the matter that cause the big bang. Something must have been present before it happened in order for it to occur. Almost like a "designer".
Read a book called "The case for a Creator". It discusses all of this and why scientist have no explanation or argument for that fact.

For everyones information the Collider is only "warming up" and hasn't started smashing anything yet, so dont worry, no Armageddon for a little while yet.
