Dura's large heart with leaky valves confirmed

In previous thread (i.e., Dura's enlarged heart), I talked about this developing health problem. My results from a throcic echocardiogram confirms minimal left ventrical enlargement with minimal leaky valves. I spoke to a non-specialist doc and have to follow up with a cardiologist.

I've learned that enlarged left ventrical is common to bodybuilders, especially those who use AAS. This is something not overly discussed in pro-steroid magazines like "Muscular Devepment." Nevertheless, enlarged LV is also associated with high blood pressure as well (such as the case when clenbuterol is used).

In my case, I was admitadley reckless. Although I was doing moderate dose of AAS (this year, TEST E @ 700mgs weekly), I used albuterol @ max end of protocol and drank coffee on top of this. Dumb! I would do this right before high intensity cardio (dumber). I have been smoking on and off too all the while (Dumberer).
I failed to monitor my Blood pressure while on the albuterol.

If there's a moral to this story it's BE RESPONSIBLE with your drug use. It's your health that's at stake. When I talk to the specialist, I'll tell you more about how I injured my health. Maybe my foolishness will be a wake up call for the would-be fool.

also, left ventricular enlargement is can be recognized as a non-negative issue in athletes who put ;large strains on the organ. Distance runners, swimmers, and yes weightlifters are among common company with the issue. It isn't just significant among drug users and if the distinction is "minimal" I doubt it may have even been caused by AAS.

Also blood pressure issues can be onset by many different courses and i think it is a mistake to ssume your stint with anabolics was to blame. some of the snabolics used do increase BP, but length is not readily documented and overall BP health isn't for sure effected. Again, it sounds like AAS isn't directly responsible.

Mike, i want you to know i am not bashing or discrediting you. I am just stricly putting my knowledge to work here and looking at it as a 3rd party. i think the specialist will be able to rpovide more specific answers, but as we sit right now I think these problems can be addressed, and your life won't be directly effected. take care my man. and keep us updated.

So Mike, does this mean you are gonna drastically alter your lifestyle?

My Dad used to be a fiend for the smokes, but a recent two week stint in Hospital has completely changed that for him now.

Do you think you'll carry on juicing, or is enough enough now?

Sorry to hear about your news, mate.

I'm not assuming AAS is directly to blame. One can't know for sure. My BP must have been up with albuterol/caffiene/smoking. I was stupid. As far as AAS and this problem, there is androgen recepters in the heart as is the case with any muscle. If you compound that with high BP, high intensity cardio ED and possibly genetics (heart problems run in the family), maybe we're talking about a synergy of factors - recklessness in general one of them.

Yeah, no more AAS and thermogenics. I look good as a natural bodybuilder anyway. It's easier to look drier and more vascular year round. The juice gives you that watery look. I have the genes of more of a fitness model anyway. I never got lean over 190 at 5'8" anyway.

Thanks. I never regretted risk taking even if I lose. I've been reckless however and it's good for others to see that it's not the way to go.

It doesnt matter how good looking she is, some where, some one is tired of her shit.

Light travels faster then sound. This is why some people appear bright until you hear them speak.
