Any of you guys a recovery agent?
Is any one here a recovery agent? I'm looking to start my own business and this is one of the areas I'm thinking about. I'd like to ask a few questions about it.
Thanks.

when you say recovery agent do you mean repo man, My grandpa has a car lot and uses a recovery company, it is alot of fun I went out and helped the guy here and there, we had some one park their car between a car and a tree, and while we were getting the car the owner came out with a shotty it was great we hooked the car and tore down the road with it and then secured it at a store parking lot. Any way if that is what you mean I can ask for info if you cant find anyone who does it on the forum.

Yeah, I'm looking to get my license and start a recovery company. Seems like it'd be interesting. Considering I spent most of my teenage years in the streets doing hoodlum type activities, I think I'd do well.

Asset Recovery Agent..
depends on the contract, you can find hook guys a dime a dozen, doing 18 wheelers and heavy equipment..
that's where the money is.. and collections..
Can you imagine showing up at the guys work and he's a manager, your shirt says RePo Services Collection department and sit in his waiting room??
now that would be hilarious..The answer to your every question

well if you do larger vehicles and heavy equipment, you will need 2-3 people to help you out when repoing, you are going to need a couple of big vehicles, like if you hit 18 wheelers or bigger you will need a rig tow truck along with a huge trailer that will allow the recovery for the heavy equip. If you do the hook and tow thing you can get a tow truck , or 1ton or 3/4 ton with a boom that comes out from under the truck, you will want a decent goose neck too. If you can afford it get a tow truck, and a flatbed truck these would be better, but more costly. The thing with having a 3-4 car goose neck trailer along with a tow truck is you can branch out, you could have a tow service, along with a hauling service to and from auction houses. There is alot you can do, it just matters how much money you can and are willing to spend, and I would suggest getting some help, because when you need to back in, hook it, and get out it helps to have a guy who can help you get it together really quick.
Good luck man, its fun.
