I am shocked that all the right wingers aren't supporting Obama. What about all that blather that they kept feeding me that it was treason not to support Bush during the time our country was at war and he was the Commander in Chief. Well, we're still in the war, why isn't it treason to not support the Commander in Chief now?
I spoke with Ron Paul last year and he promised me that he was leaving the Republican Party and going back to the Libertarian Party. He's my first choice, that said I'd vote Democrat any day before I'd vote Republican and I am one of the rich...Last edited by tyward; 04-06-2009 at 10:03 PM. Reason: Spelling

#1 lilly ledbetter bill..good one. Ask yourself something..why is insurance so high?
#2 stem cell research-we should stay out of that one. I dont oppose it because of religion..I oppose it because of common sense..but again we shouldnt touch that one.
#3 Pork is defined as pet projects that members of the legislature put into a bill. Obamas "stimulus" bill was ALL PET PROJECTS. Make no mistake here, that legislation was not designed to stimulate anything..Obama is using the downturn in the economy to do two things A-pay for a bunch of things that the Dems have wanted to do for years. B-(and more important) take the wealth from wall street and relocate it to the government.(step towards socialism)
Im not sure why people are saying.."Oh your just against him because you liked Bush" or "Oh give him a chance" Biggest load of BS. Fine look at what he is doing objectively...hes running the country towards socialism. If he was actually trying to bring the country back via capitalism I would be obamas biggest fan.
Just look at the facts..not rhetoric and not stupid pictures dressed up to make him look cool.

The world is going to end in 2012, so none of this matters.

You're even against Stem Cell Research, and for so called common sense reasons? This should be good.
If McCain endorsed Stem Cell Research, would you have? I cannot even fathom why you would think Stem Cell Research is not a good thing other than you think a 7 day ball of 150 cells is a human being?
Stem Cell Research is a good thing and you would have to be some kind of nut to not see the good it would do.

I said we shouldnt get into this...I dont even like McCain. Hes wishy washy..I voted for him because I thought he would be better than obama.(which is true)
I have my beliefs not based on some politician..if they happen to agree with what I think then good.
ok here we go...Im 1000% against sucking babies into a sink to begin with..its bad enough we kill them and now we are going to chop them up for "research"
Im not sure at what point our society became so jaded that we turn a blind eye to what this stuff really is but to me it really sucks.
Oh and for the record...Bush didnt outlaw this practice he just wouldnt use govt funding for it. Private companies (which normally do this sort of work) have been doing it all along. Its a political issue because the abortion zealouts want this to be so ingrained in society that theres never a chance of restricting any type of abortion. Even partial birth.

I started the thread in the news section about stem cell research because although it's unknown if it's worth persuing I was happy about it.
So, clearly not your team my team mentality.
I despise the direction he wishes to take the country in, and it's my right to do so.
Maybe it's backlash and frustration for blaming everything on Bush becoming like a religion. So, get over it.Last edited by Kratos; 04-07-2009 at 02:03 PM.
