Ok so I am at the gym today and this very fine girl walks over. I try not to notice her cause I am in da zone ya know? I am sweating nicely, heart rate is right, music is right on, I am 60-90 secs between sets and really don't have time to engage anyone on anything. One of my gym associates had just walked in, we bro hugged, I said I ma in the zone he nodded and moved on.

This girls taps my on the shoulder. I take out one headphone and keep it by my ear and nod my head upwards. SHe says "do you have a minute?" I say no and start to put my earbud back in. She grabs my arm and says please? Like a sexy kitten. I wm like WTF is going on here.

She says um my bootimus(really) needs a little work and turns to show me her perfect ass. I glance at it and she says will this machine help me get that bump? She points to the leg press. Now I am tempted, but I know this is an imp sent straght out of the pit of hell to distract me form the divine purpose ya know, so I take a deep breath, and say I have no idea what that machine does.

I start to put my ear bud back in, she grabs my arm agian! SHe says well how did your butt get so fine? and kinda laughs like a school girl. I bit a little cause she got to my heart ya know>

So I says "look lady I am trying to get a work out in here. I know why you picked me out of the crowd, and it isn;t my butt. It's because our leg warmers are the same color and we both have spandex on. Sure our headbands kind of match too, and we both wear hightop white rebooks with the velcro. I get it ok. But I am in the zone here and really I am tryin not to draw any attention to myself so can you pretty please wait unitl I am done for questions and maybe then we can get some hot tea and talk about you rump?"

We are hooking up later. This little story is to help you guys that have trouble approaching the womens. You have to hit the ladys gym, they think youre one of them and then BAM, before you know you are having teas and who knows whats next? If you get her isolated enough have some duct tape or rope handy.

there's a socio-psychological defense they have when they're in the gym...

dont get me wrong, it is possible...

you have to put a coupla things into play

proximity...
aggressivness...

you have to approach the girl as if you dont want to ask her out..

if she notices that intention, she'll put her bitch sheild up...

you have to neg her passively..

i.e. you have to insult her without insulting her.. it's kinda weird..

Ok Guys, from my female perspective (which is a little different from the average, I must admit), I feel the same way about working out as you do. So during a work out, I really don't want to talk to anyone. I'm there for a reason, and to be quite honest, when I'm sweaty and feeling pretty intense, I really don't feel up to playing back and forth games with anyone.

One gym, that I no longer go to, has a pretty good shake bar, and I've been approached there a few times *AFTER* a work out. I was fine with it. I personally hate the monotonous initial small talk and would rather have someone just get right to the point with the fact that they want to take me out. So I usually get annoyed and that's the end of it. I like confidence and guys that get straight to it.

Again, this is just me, but I'm sure there are others out there!

And also for the record, hot guys at the gym just make me work harder....and concentrate on not doing stupid faces...LOL

I feel like if I am straight up, the girl will think all I am interested in is having sex with her (which is true), at least if I strike up conversation (not monotonous just a quick one to see what type of person she is) I wouldn't come off as "another guy" trying to get into her pants.

You know what happend to me that was weird? I was at my gym back home for a couple weeks and I kept going and stuff and there was a female trainer there and she would always check me in never even hinted that she was intrested, anyway I come back up and a couple weeks be back up for classes I notice she facebooked requested me. What a stalker, the girl was still in high school. Pfft

But let me tell you Jamy you think guys suck at picking up girls? Try when a girl tries to hit on you, this one girl and her friend insisted that they "knew me from somewhere" and I was like "I have never been to this gym before and I just arrived in town to visit my folks". Then they kept talking and saying how I look so familiar and stuff and I was just like The girl was literally breaking open a case against me she went through everthing possible to try to find a connection Then they asked me what school I went to (it was my hometown) and I told them and the girl is like "thats where I know you from" and I was like "oh really what year were you?" and she said she graduated like 3 years before me, I was like......no I doubt you knew me. She was then was like "You look alot older" and I was like "Yeah I get that alot" then she responded in a sexy tone "Is that what all the ladies say?" and i just walked away
