I am injured so for me benching 100 pounds is lifting heavy LOL but yeah at some point when you get older its safer to lift less weight

If you lift heavy in the beging of the week and light at the end you can get both

Thats a tough one.I will have to go with strenght first then looks as of lesser importants because strenght has more practical use.

I have been both a brick shit house and a lean stud... I would much rather be lean and look good. Don't get me wrong, being big was cool, but it was just too hard to do simple things. My mobility was gone, and I just felt out of shape even thought I wasn't.
Now that I am thin & trim I feel like I am in the best shape of my life. I can still hang in there at the gym from time to time and throw up some serious weight, but I like my cardio and burnouts these days.
The best is when there are some 'meat heads' standing around talking, and you know they are 'trying' to show off with how much they squat, then I get in the rack and do their max with perfect form for more reps, and then I make it a point to show off the small waist.
I get no bigger joy then when these mass monsters look at me like I don't know how to go heavy. Little do they know that I have forgotten more then they will ever know about the proper way to lift.

as you get older the strength will become more important.. as you become even older, strength and good health will become more important..

I would love to be big and ripped and only be lifting 100 lbs! I don't pay attention to how much weight is on the bar as long as I see results

Looks. I put in hard work in the gym to try to look better outside of it, so if I could look better outside of the gym with less work in it, done deal for me. I'd just work out at home though so I wouldn't get beat up at the gym.

i duno its not like the number is written on ur chest or muscles thats why i stuck with the 100 and look ripped. but i noticed when i was younger i wanted to make sure i didnt fit through doors and had to go sideways but now that im getting older i think the ripped look is better. just my opinion.

i guess it depends on who you would rather impress, men or women. i honestly don't care that i cannot benchpress 400lbs. but i would care if my belly stuck out 6 inches past my chest.

I'd take the strength if I had to choose. Being huge with no strength would be suicide in submission grappling and MMA.
