she got a green card. it took 2 years after we were married to get it. Her immigration thing was complicated and a nightmare. She did some stupid things while we were dating to get it and her lawyer sucked. It took a while after we were married to convince her to change lawyers. After we did she couldnt believe the difference between the 2 lawyers

Costs some money too like 1500-2000$ without a lawyer. Its been harder for her because you said she overstayed her visa from what i recall.
