Started shrugs lighter at 185 and focused on the movement pulling the shoulders back and upwards instead of straight up and down. Switched to straight up and down movement at 315 and finished with a set at 475. usually have shitty range of motion at about 405, but kept going up in weight last night.
After that I did 4 sets of upright rows staying at 135 instead of increasing weight.
Two little changes and blamo, my traps ache pretty good for a change.
Now if I can just figure out how to fuk arms up.... seems like I can never kill em.

My trap routine is similar. I started going lighter on the smith machine after my standard shrugs and the combo is lethal. On the smith I stand at an angle between standard and upright rows and it really targets your traps. I use an underhand grip and really focus on brining it up and slightly rolling forward.
My traps are fukkin killing me right now.
If you find the secret to arms, fill us in. It seems that no matter how intense I go or how pumped I get my arms just don't keep up with my shoulders.

Im with you all... I never feel arm workouts like I do others.
Standing barbell curls. Warm up few sets with slow controlled 20 reps. Usually just the bar.
Pyramid the weight up for a few sets. Then Rep till failure. After failure I do partial reps with a little bit of body motion to get the bar up. Then Ill rack and take off weight and do drop set.
Then seated hammer curls. Nice slow negatives. Burns like hell. And with slow negatives I dont have to use as heavy of weights.
Then Ill burn out on cable machine curls till the pump hurts too much.
lol.
Thats it.
Dont need a lot of sets or reps for little muscles like bi's.

Traps - high pulls, two sets barbell shrugs with bar infront (on quads), two sets barbell shrugs behind (against hams), finish off with one set dumbell shrugs with high reps.
Bi's..... Barbell curls, seated incline dumbell curls, concentration curls or hammers
Tris - skull crusher that flows into a close grip bench (super set), heavy cable push down, reverse grip single arm cable push down. Sometimes weighted dips after.
