Need New Headphones
I want to get some new earbuds or headphones and need some advice on what to get. I want something that doesn't sound like crap when I turn up the volume. What do you guys use?

All ones i use suck. my girl has those Phillips ones that have the little soft plastic thing that lets it slide into your ear. they seem to work good

I have these http://reviews.cnet.com/headphones/l...-32110400.html
And I love them. Comfortable, good sound, good volume. You shouldn't pay more than $100 for them if you find it on the right site or ebay.

i love ultimate ears, plus the actual bud that goes in your ear is connected to the cord via two steel rods, so if the cord breaks or something(happened to me), you can just get a new one for 10$ or so and take the ear buds off the old cord and put them on the new one, i love it

Here is what I use, I hate wires bothering me.

Regardless of the reviews, I sweat like a stuffed pig and my headphones have never had any problems, everyday for 6 months now.Last edited by kickinit; 07-14-2009 at 08:42 PM.

i use them EVERYWHERE, literally, i study with them, workout, cardio, do homework, fly, walk from class to class, play tennis, pingpong, EVERYTHING, hell i even stacked trees(yes i stacked trees and cleared a few acres of forest by hand) for 14 hour days with them with so problem, all you have to do is use the provided tool or a paper clip to maintain them by removing ear wax

Phate, I almost bought em. I went with the Super-fi 3 Studios instead. I picked em up for $99 even, but there was a pair that looked the same for $79. These were black though, the cheaper ones were white. A little birthday treat for myself I'm going to the gym, I'll let you all know how they work.

Well my mp3 player died about 15 minutes into my workout, so that was a bust. I had to run home real quick and get my iphone. The headphones were pretty damn nice. The sound is awesome, they are very comfortable, and they create an awesome seal so you can't hear anything except the music. All in all a good purchase. It was worth the $99.

I love the earbuds that come with ipods. Very comfortable and I find they sound great.
But it depends on the size of your ears. My wife has smaller ears and hates the apple earbuds.
(which works for me cause now I have a back-up set of earbuds)

the reason i did is that my life revolves around music, i've competed in it on several instruments as well as theory since i was 8 and i listen to almost every genre of music, when i wake up in the morning i turn on music, i listen to it on the drive to college, in between classes, even during our 4 hour labs and because of that i used to go through 1-2 pairs of headphones every month because they would bust(i listen to music loud) or they wouldn't reproduce the sound to the level i wanted
so i figured i'd give these a try and they've lasted and lasted so in the end for me they are worth it

don't get earbuds if you run or do cardio with them
they pull out of your ears constantly
this is what I use
they sound good, I can run and they never come loose
less then 50 bucks at best buy

I can't seem to find a decent pair either, earbuds don't fit in my ears right, they just fall out constantly. And the ones that wrap around your ears are too big for my ears so they just fall off too. I'm at a loss of what to buy, I need something that is going to stay put and not fall out constantly.

Sennheiser PMX80 Sport Series II
nothing but great reviews, even water/sweat resistant for working out/cardio
I think they are about 60 bucks if I remember right. They ranked #1 in a magazine I got a couple months ago

it's too bad that you have to keep buying headphones since there is no way to try them on

That's the good thing about the ones I got. They have different size ear pieces and you put them in then twist, and they don't move at all. Then the first 3-4 inches of cord is a wire type of material and you bend it over your ear so its custom fit and secure. I like em a lot.
