cholesterol med messing with my boners
man this sucks.i'm on cholesterol meds and they are messing with my d!ck BAAAAD! I don't think I even need the meds because I was on cycle when my readings came back high.
I have been off cycle for exactly 3 monthe now I think I'm going back to the doc to have blood work done again and see how it comes back.I need to see if i'm ready to cycle again anyway.
What do you think?
I have never had any problems untill I was put on the meds.My doc gave me viagra but it doesn't work on me worth a sh!t!

You know you could have refused the medication? When he saw your readings were high you could say to wait 3 months then come back and get re-tested.
I don't know why you automatically took them.

you can just not take them. I have a FULL bottle in my cabnet. I got off them a couple years ago when i changed my diet and went from being HIGH to borderline.
There has never been any REAL evidence that cholesterol has anything to do with heat attack or stroke either. Only evidence is the docs and pharmaceutical companies make a TON of money off these kinds of meds.

Since you're prone to heart attack, if I were you I'd stay on the meds until you can get your cholesterol re-checked. Be sure they check every single blood lipid type because a high count of good cholesterol (HDL) will contribute to a higher number of total cholesterol. High cholesterol numbers doesn't always necessarily mean increasing a risk for cardiovascular disease. If they are within normal limits then ask permission from your doc to get off the meds, and begin takign otc suppliments:fish oil, antioxidants, etc. Keep your fiber intake high as well; 30-35 grams a day. Cardio is vital as well. I read an article from AHA that 150 minutes (30 minutes 5 days a week) of moderatly intense cardio a week was the most beneficial for overall cardiovascular health.
Btw, just out of curiousity what was your lipid numbers, and what lipid meds are you taking?

btw your levels are going to be lower now as a result of the medication so going back for testing isn't an option until you've been clean of the medication

If he was into that stuff you would prolly know...sorry for your loss.
Was he in good shape? It's just not something you hear about, someone dieing at that age without drug abuse, that's why I asked.

If your cholesterol level is not too far over all you need to do is eat oats every day. Have a bowl of porridge oats every morning. That is the only adjustment to your diet that you will need. That should lower your readings by around 20%.
1/2 cup oats
1 cup milk or water (personal preference)
bring to the boil
add raisins, add protein powder, add what you want.
Makes a good and easy to make breakfast that will fill you and put lots of carbs into you!
