Wow! Great list! I love existential philosophy and Buddhism. I don't talk about those things (most my interpersonal relationships are superficial) but it's something that I obsess about privately. It's probably a reaction against my upbringing. My parents are born-again Christians and I never bought into the slavishness to authority and the self-rightous arogance I associate with so-called Christians.

Thanks, Mike. Those books really did change my life. I don't pretend to be able to completely functionalize all of the info, but it's had a strong influence.

Awe, I remember The Giver. The first time I read it was in middle school and it just opened up my mind....

im in the middle of reading it right now mate.......good stuff........i would read the iceman book first then the other two like i said...because their stories come together and you get to see the same fight stories from two diff points of view........i liked the shaw book a tiny bit better..

A small book I got while I was at the hospital with my mom was Journey's End and it help explain a lot of things that happen when someone is going down the path of internal rest. It answered a lot of questions and glad I had the chance to read it.
