    my day is ruined!

    I got up about an hour ago, had my morning shake, took my supplements and decided to watch yesterdays " tivo " shows before my wife goes to work. I started to scratch the back of my neck, leaned forward then this huge pain came on the right/back side if my neck ( pulled neck muscle )!!!

    I CANNOT TRAIN TODAY!!! IM SO PISSED!!!

    This happens to me quite often and theres no way for a quick fix. I guess Ill just have to wait until Monday.

    I just took 2 alleve's and now I need to figure out what to do today......

    Since you quoted this has been happening to you quite often, why don't you try to figure out the reason?

    one thing i do is taurine, cut the salt and drink more water..

    Its just one of those things. I just move in a certain way and BAM, thats it!

    One time it happened to me when I was washing my hair in the shower.

    THIS SUCKS!

    It never happens to me in the gym, though....

    Been there bro....

    I have to do about 15 or 20 minutes worth of light stretching when I get up in the morning. It seems to help out alot. It sucks getting older!!

    I feel your pain....ive pulled my neck muscle a few times and it hurts!!....well ive been to the gym and did a very hard leg session..ill dedicate to you mate

    ohh and i agree with BJJ go and see someone about it....

    for me, i was in 2 yrs of physical therapy, after the docs all got paid, one finally suggested steroid injections into the trap, rhomboids.. 8 injects down my back (some serious pain right there) i was fine.. 6 weeks later went and had it done again and it was 5 yrs before i injured it again..

    this time I suggested it to the doc, then had to find one that would do it.. and have been good every since.. that was when i was 25... I'm 48 now..

    I take 1000mg of taurine/day as we speak.

    I dont think that I need medical attention, not yet. Maybe I jumped the gun here guys but it happens a few times a year is what I meant. But when it DOES happen and I cannot train its like the end of the world!!

    Im sure that in a few hours Ill get over it and just chill out and stick to the diet and return on Monday...

    Up until I turned 30 I never had any problems. At 30 s**t started to hurt, strength wasnt going up as fast, weight wasnt going down as fast.

    When I hit 35 the same thing but I was more cautious on my training.

    Ill be 40 in June and I feel great for my age and people still cannot believe that Im this old. But when this crap happens to me I feel like Im 100, lol!!!

    ICE as soon as it happens. Last time I had a pulled neck muscle the only thing that helped besides the ice was DMSO, yes the jell with Aloe vera, I could not believe how fast it helped me. My neck had hurt for over a month, arm was numb and in one day it felt 80% better, really no BS. It's worth a try.
