    anyone hike half dome?

    have a campsite reserved for late may.

    17mile round trip hike.

    sooo stoked.

    I have camped in Yosemite more times than I can count. I have done almost every hike in the park except that one. Just don't be stupid and you will be OK. At least 5-10 people die every year from going outside the guide rails. The last hike I did was from glacier point walking the rim of the park ending at the base of vernal falls. 19 mile hike but well worth it, it actually intercects with the half dome trail. good luck and have fun.     yea i def will. its a few months out so itll be some time.

    i do 10 mile hikes at 4kft where i live but 17 miles at 8-9k ft is another story.

    Yes it is!! You will be fine if you just don't do anything stupid. I konw a guy that has worked in Yosemite for 25 years and he has told me some horror stories about that place. 9 out of 10 are doing something that they are not supposed to be doing.
