Isn't the red and blue party just both the same in every country?
As for the Global warming question, well after all the controversy surrounding that University in England that supposedly was surpressing information for political gain, well I honestly have my doubts now. Of course I still believe that global does occur, it always has long before humans were here, but before I believed we were speeding up the process but now im not so sure.
Pretty disparating when you learn certain people in Science/Acadamia have been supposedly falsifying information for their own political agenda.Last edited by Flagg; 02-19-2010 at 03:01 AM.

The global warming should be reported as a solar system warming.
It does include most of the planets in our solar system and has nothing to do with industrial development.

Registered Republican. No particular loyalty to any party. I just find myself voting Republican more often than not. That said, W was an idiot I did not vote for. Obama is an idiot I did not vote for. I did not support the John McCain/Dumb Bitch ticket either. I do believe in global warming.

The way I ALWAYS looked at it as soon as they started talking about that crap was; It's better to have global warming SLOWLY than Cooling. I really dont want another ice age. lol
Years ago I knew it was foolish to think they can control what the earth does, cooling/heating.
It's just like the Ozone layer fad. Do you hear about that anymore? now that that made us pay more and change away from Freon and pay to remove all the stuff in airisol they discovered the hole in the ozone had already closed because that is what it does, open and close... LOL But you see we are still PAYING... it's just all about money.
Wait until you see what the new Green laws are going to cost home owners....

I am a registered Republican. However, I believe in what the Republican party use to stand for, before Neo-Conservatism took over and became the status quo. I am really what you would call a Libertarian, but it was Ronald Reagan who said that the definition of Republicanism is essentially Libertarianism.
The problem with your statement OP, is that you are trying to measure the thoughts and beliefs of a very small minority of people against the platform of a catch all party. In America we have what are referred to as "catch all parties," these are party's which have no real "clear" stand on issues, and really do not stand for much, and they certainly do not stand for one particular issue. The reason is by their definition "catch all," they are designed in order to attract the largest amount of people to vote for their party in a game where 51% wins!
This would be in contrast to other countries on the Parliamentary system where several parties can co-opt power together in order to form a majority. In that system they have parties which have very very clear ideologies and specific party platforms, such as the Green party, Tories, Liberal Democrats, etc. They draw a smaller number of voters, and thus are sometimes required to co-opt power with 1 or 2 other parties in order to form a majority in the Parliament.

You do realize that the term Global Warming is very misleading as to what they say it is. Its a range of extreme's - they say there are HOTTER summers, and COLDER winters. I personally think its all garbage.
The planet goes through natural polar shifts and temperature variances. (anyone ever hear of a little thing called the ice age?) I doubt that was due to human input.
Either way I lean more towards Republican because I work for a living and like to keep my paycheck. Granted either extreme is a bit out there, but I consider myself not a communist and these days that seems to be the popular thing to be when you're a democrat.

i recent article talks with the former chief of the main climate place over in england, he says theres been no evidence of warming since 1995. if u search around you'll find it.used to believe in global warming but not since learning about the big carbon tax scam and other things, not to mention the summers here in michigan have not been hot in YEARS. humid, but not hot.we probably havent had a day over 100 in 5 years, where it seemed we used to always have a few days of 100 or more every year. if the earth was really warming..im sure we'd hit that at least a few times or more every summer.

Republican
I personally do not believe the human element has caused the temperature shifts. However on 9-11 when there were no aircraft in the air there was a global temperature drop of approx. three degrees. Still doesn't convince me, but debatable none the less.

Stevey for President!!!
I'm currently a registered Democrat, but that's primarily because Alaskan Republicans are so willing to give up our mineral wealth to the corporations that fund their political campaigns... the Democrats have no real answer, they just want their turn to rape and pillage the citizens' wealth in different ways.
I hereby publicly announce my support for Stevey!
He's the ONLY one with a both sane and righteous position.

If you ask anyone not american they will say your whole government is screwed up. Everyone knows it in the entire world. A 100% Capitalist government breeds nothing but greed and everyone for themselves. Your whole banking system is a complete farce. Corporations run the government.
I feel so sorry for the people losing there homes it almost makes me want to cry. Im not even American. People who were about to retire have nothing from the thieves on wallstreet, and what does your govenment do. They give them billions of dollers so they can keep getting outrages bonuses. It makes me sick that nobody is doing anything about it. The rich control everything while the middle class gets eliminated and the poor really suffer. All your jobs are in China. 50 years of fighting communism and now your making China the new empire of the world. Vietnam war with over much to many dead to fight the commies and now your sending jobs over there because its even cheaper labour then China all the while you have the largest unemployment rate in god knows how long.
Don't get me wrong, I love the american people, and Im sure I speak for 99% of Canadians. It just truly makes me sad to see whats going on and nothing being done about it. I wish every hard working American nothing but the best, and i hope I haven't offended anyone. I don't know even close to all the facts. But I can tell you my common sense tells me your country has huge problems (Im thinking big picture here) and unless somethings really start to change. Im scared to see how one of the most wonderful countries in the world will be in 50 years.
