He's a decent researcher/writer and he's just trying to make a living for himself in this industry.

He's been linked with supp. companies and UGL's yes, but who's the twat that often makes those claims.... Anthony Conners (Roberts). Who's, IMHO, is 100x worse than Llewellyn.

Arachidonic Acid is bullshit. It may "enhance arobic capactiy", but nada for LBM gains, strength etc...

    http://www.jissn.com/content/4/1/21

    "Conclusion
AA supplementation during resistance-training may enhance anaerobic capacity and lessen the inflammatory response to training. However, AA supplementation did not promote statistically greater gains in strength, muscle mass, or influence markers of muscle hypertrophy.

Many supplement companies, like Gaspari Nutrition's Halodrol Liquigels then dropped it as an ingredient.

    From full paper:

"These findings provide preliminary evidence that AA supplementation may have some benefit for individuals engaged in intense resistance-training. However, although some potentially beneficial trends were observed, AA supplementation had no statistically significant effects on strength, muscle mass, hormonal markers of anabolism/catabolism, or intracellular markers of muscle hypertrophy. Whether training status, dosage, supplement timing, length of supplementation, sample size, and/or the type of training may yield more positive results remains to be examined with additional research. Additionally, whether some athletes may respond better to AA supplementation than others should be explored."

    Ouch.

    Pioneer huh...

Stick to writing and researching I think.

    he didn't invent that shit
it's an essential fat in fish oil
    omega-6
most people who know about nutrition know Americans and Europeans now get far too much of the omega-6s and not enough of the omega-3s. It isn't something you should be consuming in mass quantities.

    it's been linked to depression
encourages blood clotting and platelet aggregation, increases in blood viscosity, spasm of blood vessels, and vasoconstriction.
adding to culture media causes prostate cancer cells to grow twice as fast (omega 3's have the opposite effect)

It's been studied for a long time, but why would you supplement it more than other essential fats?

If you like his work read it, if you dont read someone else's its that simple but I find it hard to take when people slag him off and they havent even wrote one book/article but thats the internet for you.....big opinions with no foundation.

He does it for a living rather successfull so he must do something right. As far as writers go I liked Paul Borreson he was way ahead of his field, I use to ring him up and he lost me many times explaining stuff to me but he was very extreme!!

Guess all what people can do is read some of his books and make there own mind up.

Not bitter at all. In fact you can I care about subjects like this.

I am not at all in the same field or in any way in competing with the guy.

As many of the members stated there is a greater problem here (more than one but hey)...

But he HAS STATED HE HIS use of aas publically. He has stated so in different interviews. I can post links to interviews he has done stating so...

You can say I care and have a problem with it.

My issue is simple. If you use and you look like that what does that say? Honestly, you can not tell me if a guru that looks like that and has stated he has used is a person you (personally) have as much respect for? If so then were are just not in agreement, I believe the use of aas and being a guru should represent itself in real life...

Dude your clueless....The greatest guru ever was Dan duchaine,he was a user but did not look great,it means nothing, his Intellect was special.

You know the guy that invented the akins diet he never employed it.

The great dave Palumbo never used a keto diet. when he competed.I could go on,so your sentiment does not flow well.

    Agreed.

Body might not have looked special, but his mind sure as **** was special.

I'm sure Nandi (Karl Hoffman) didnt look to clever but he was one of the greats.

BigCat hasnt ever used AAS, but again, he sure as **** knows what he's talking about in regards to pharmacology.

Probably another snake oil salesmen who's managed to re-hash the same information that's been out there for years. Then uses said information to promote basically dirt (supplements) by offering some semi science relalated explanation that the average user will just understand enough of to think it makes sense. But isn't regulated so there doesn't have to be any connection between what it says it does and what it does.

I think you're right to hate on him. He doesn't look like he's worked out more then twice. I don't see PhD after his name, so what's he really doing with his time...making money off meat heads.
you jump to negative conclusions a lot of times i've noticed....
