Had an idea for an e-biz. Feedback?
My idea is to create a web site tailored to students. I've written down a few domain names I feel are catchy, one being DoMyHomework.com (already purchased by someone else, so if I want it I'll have to make them an offer)
Obviously the web site is going to be shady but legal. I was considering starting a web site more vague than selling essays, perhaps something not so shady (essay topic ideas, study tips, emphasis outlooks, etc). One problem with this, though. If I'm going to start a legit web site designed to help students, I don't want there to be anything shady about it. Perhaps I could start a site that sells essays and another site that is legit? Or what do you think about somehow combining the two?
Here's a short list of ideas I've written down for a legit, student-tailored web site:
- Essay topic ideas
- Resources for buying new and used schools books and supplies
- Study tips
- Instructor reviews
- Dorm and school furniture for sale
- "Emphasis Outlook" or "Program Outlook" - this is pretty much the same as a career outlook--it'll have a program description of college majors along with career information (job descriptions, average salaries, etc)
That's all I have so far. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I believe google stole you're idea. Don't think you're gonna make any money on something any student who has heard of google can get for free.
