can't go wrong with a yammi man they have a great 450 very similar in look to the race bike but built for trails(gear ratio etc), aswell if you are taller there bike are alway about 2inches than the kawi's

are you a first time rider because if you are i would suggest that you get a 230 great trail bike with pleanty of power 450 might be a little much

Mate they are all pretty good these days if its new/late model.
Iv had new Hondas and new Yams and had everything but a KTM.
Seriously if its new just pick which colour you like best haha.
Myself id go Crf but would be a hard one between Yzf.

250 or 450 ? depends on what you wanna do with it , If you are just out trail riding for fun with the boys probly go a 450, if you are racing then you have to choose what you think is best for you.

    You rang

Depends on what your looking to use if for and if you are buying new or not. I got a 09 kx450 because it came with fuel injection. The Honda and I think the Suzuki have fuel injection also and trust me, it's waaay worth it. I had an 05 crf250 and the thing sucked to start, sold it after a year.

If your not dead set on a four stroke, there are some killer deals out there on used 250 two strokes.

That being said, if I were to buy a new bike now, I would get a 2010 KTM 250sx and then buy the 300cc conversion kit and have a new 300cc 2 stroke with comparable power to a 450 four stroke and weighs about 40 pounds less.

I like the way you think my friend. I currently ride a 04 cr250r and love 2 strokes! As for the ktm i would just go for the 300XC model well rounded bike so sexy too.

Not dead set on anything yet.
How much is the 300cc converesion kit? That sounds awsome and weighing 40lbs lighter.
I would rather have a 2 stroke anyways buddy!

I grew up riding 2 strokes and used to say I would never buy a 4 stroke but now that I have had a few 4 strokes I would never buy a 2 stroke again. The only plus side I like about the 2 stroke is the ease to fix it since you can do it yourself pretty easy.

I was the exact same way. now its kind of nice not having to change my top end all the time, and with a conversion i can only imagine.
