I am very saddened to say that 3 girls passed away from Rett Syndrome in the last week. They were 3, 4, and 8 years old.
My daughter is almost 4 and is considerably healthy, but the clock is still ticking.
Rett syndrome only mimics autism in the early stages. It then progresses into scoliosis, heart, lung, and muscle disorders. And this is only a small part of it. It can get worse than this in some cases.
All your votes mean a lot. You are helping the Rett community get their cure that our girls so desperately need.
Thanks a million!

wow, I just checked like only 15 minutes ago and it was 15th still. You guys really are helping.
In case you are interested, the discovery that Rett syndrome could be reversed was announced in 2007 after it was successfully done in a lab by Adrian Bird using tomaxophen. Yes, the same stuff many people use here for pct. however, though it was discovered to reverse Rett syndrome in mice, it was noted that this method would never work in humans and instead served as an example that the illness was not permanent and indeed could be reversed.
Here is a video of some of the findings:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RyAvKGmAElQ
It was not until 2008 that researchers found a compound that is believed to work in humans the same was as it does in mice to reverse Rett syndrome. The compound is IGF -1. Yes, the same stuff many people use around here for bodybuilding.
Pretty ironic isn't it? Many of you guys have used the cure for Rett Syndrome and never knew it.
There is a clinical trial set to begin this fall and our daughter might be a part of it if we can get in. They need 12 girls and will be seeing how well it works for FDA approval.
The money that pepsi gives away will go directly towards the research for the IGF study. The Rett Syndrome Foundation http://www.rettsyndrome.org funds the study and others like it.
Thanks again for all your help.

I have read much information on this over time and the research is making leaps and bounds in finding the cure... wishing your little one health and strength as the fight continues to the victory over this....
This has moved to 13...Every man has the ability to be a fool, it is what he does to recover that shows who the fool really is.
